Hey, less and less reviews on phones recently...... why!?! By the way, i would really like to see comparisons from mobileburn's reviews. For instance when everyone was talking bout the 'fabulous' S700, the Sagem MY-X8 comes quietly to the market, no hypes... but i found it to be a very good product; much better than S700 in terms of refinement. Hope theres a comparison from mobileburn's editor/reviewer; needn't be extensive, be short and straight will be enough. Thanks.

Well, you guys have to remember that Michael probably has been busy from all the different shows and stuff...just gotta be patient. Besides, he can't review EVERY single phone, as there are WAY too many. He probably has to debate between quantity of reviews or QUALITY of reviews...and for most, quantity seems to defeat quality hands down...

well, this sites income depends on the number of hits, people come to this site for reviews(and forum) so when theres nothing interesting(to me) people go away. hes overseas now at a show and so is sid, only deviant is left to mod. nyehehehhehe :P.

they should really change the way this site reviews phones, for example gsmarena, they have loads of specs of phones for comparisons as such, but they do have extensive or what they call mega reviews of powerfull hypefull phones. Mobileburn should do that too i guess. The news here were quite out of date as well, the only thing mobileburn's really good with are michael's extensive reviews, yet they weren't always here. Ofcourse, i really love the posters here as well.... but lot of them seems like abandoning MB already..... get more people to work with ya michael; shaheen for example, star too; and i find shun to be really informative; they might give a big hand in helping mobileburn. Everyone i introduce to MB says this is a very boring site.... and some say ugly too.. sorry, i dun mean to offend but i really hope this cyber space which i hang out daily is a lot more exciting.

Yeah mobileburn isnt keeping up with the competition anymore. Most of the time i only come on the site to post on the forums, but a lot of the people have left here as well.

I agree completely commedecargons, the site needs more freelance contributers that can moderate the forums, update news and write more reviews.

It doesnt seem like they are online while at their festivals or sumin. The site really needs more freelance staff or it future may become bleek.

ok, if he ever read this. Michael, the links thru forums at the top of every forum page, can u add the same thing at the very bottom of every page in forum? it troubles to always move back to the top after reading the last post or after posting messages.

I offered to mod the forums and they told me they are in the process of alocating some new mods but that was around november last year, so ya. I hope they make some of us common posters mods so we can keep the boards cleaner more often.

Yeah thats true, i havent seen posts by him in ages.
I think we should create a thread to nominate new mods.
Im gana start the thread in the main 'Site discussion' forum.

Hmmm.. Sorry to say but the Main page of Mobileburn.com sucks! They never update it! The last Nokia review (extensive) was i guess Nokia 7610 in May or June? Last 6 months i think only Nokia n-gage QD was reviewed.. Even the Press releases are old! I visit MB for their forums! Michael is not going to review Nokia 6630!

Yup me too, the only reason i come to MB lately is to post.

They'll loose out potential new users which might be out there looking for reviews of the latest phone.... i.e. 6630, 9500..... no reviews, no one will stumble upon here. I came to mobilburn when i wanna buy P900 and found his intensive reviews very fascinating..... i doubt anyone looking for 6630s or 9500s will stumble upon here. By theway, with the traditional speed of mobileburn's reviews being posted; that phone is already abit old.....

Yup, i stumbled on MB searching for a 6230 review, and the one michael did was really good. Its a pitty the site is lacking in content nowadays.

I think MB's strength is in its Forums.. we don't have as many members as say Hofo.. (and i know lots of u guys are in Hofo from the phones that you guys have and from the way u talk) but generally the ppl in Hofo are really thick when it comes to phones, they ask the dumbest questions sometimes.. basically my point is since we have some real mobile savy ppl Michael really shouldn't have trouble putting mods up for nomination.
Another thing is we should be appreciative of the strength of the this forum, i come into MB only to read posts 90% and post something everynow and then as i learn lots and lots more from the posts, complaints and questions on forums than mobile reviews.

hofo has over 200k members, atleast half of them are extremely phone nutty liek us, so they help alot and thats wat forums are about, helping out htose who dont know. frankly MB is a very leisure place for me, i know most people here like a good Bar to drink at and its a nice place to come and talk to friends and chill, hofo is for serious learning and discussions caus theres too many people and its pretty hard to be relaxed there cause mods are strict there.

hofo is HUGGGE but its gotten dumb as of late too many threads on useless discussions. here we get often questions answered without probs.
its the ppc forums over at hofo that are rocking right now
i know hofo forums contain a wealth of knowledge, i just think that the proportion of ppl in mb that are mob savy is higher than that of hofo (hence questions in MB get answered quickly without problems as pointed out by jayesh) so shouldn't be a hard task to nominate mods.. just something to encourage administrators like mike and sid.. not that being mob savy is the only quality that mods should have.

being around, quick decisions fairness in moderation aka dont delete someone's post just because u dont like it but base it on an impartial view. knowledge is a must and so is presence of mind. however no of posts should not be considered a prequisite often in the past ive not posted because i really had nothing to add :) we need fair impartial mods with knowledge and staying power to eliminate the pissing contests

In HOFO, that thread would have been nowhere and HOFO is full of stupid threads repeating and repeating and repeating........ i couldn't even read over there. But i do hope Bengalboy could hang out here in Mobileburn from time to time.
