I was looking at pictures and it seems to me, the nokia 6620 and the sony ericsson p900 are roughly the same sizes. I was interested in buying the 6620 but if it leaves the same bulge in my pocket, then i might opt to go with the p900. what do you guys think?

which camera is better btw?
thanks for any feedback, usually you guys give me fast and helpful responses.

hi there,

both has a VGA cam, but in comparing the pics taken by both, I'd have to say that the pics from the 6620 is better. The ones from the p9 are a bit bluish sometimes, and it's not as bright as the ones from the 66. The night mode of the 66 is also clearer and is more detailed - giving it an advantage in low-light situations.

given a choice between the two - I'd pick the 6620. It has EDGE support, a service that almost the telcos there in the US is going to have very very soon. With a p900, or even a p910, you're still stuck with GPRS speeds only.

cheers!

Its a personal choice mostly, if you want touch screen then take the P900, or else get the 6620.

a P900/910 is far superior then the 6620. and maby he doesn't need or have EDGE.
a big touchscreen makes it pleasent and extremly easy.

i wouldnt go as far as to compare 6620 and the p910 in the same breath.

ones a FULL smartphone with touchscreen , all the aps and killer connectivity

ones a symbian 60 clamshell with decent connectivity and lotsa symbian apps

depending on ya usage

road warrior : p910
casual user with occasional use of smartphone features and for leisure : 6620

...and maby he doesn't need or have EDGE.

That could be true. Anyway, I think that EDGE is going to be very big soon. Except for japan, and in some parts of the US, 3G isn't that widely accepted yet. So maybe EDGE will probably be the preferred connection for now.

6620 is not a clamshell. it IS a better phone. have you ever browsed via edge? it makes gprs look like a 14.4k...trust me. full pda yes but the 6620 can do ANYTHING the p910 or p900, minus the touch screen. series 60 baby, go with the nokia.

I would definitely pick the 6620. It can do basically anything the the SE P900/910 can do (except of course the touch screen) and the EDGE is an advantage, especially if you are going to have EDGE services (I don't have EDGE in my area I don't think so that'd be moot for me). Plus, there's something about Sony Ericsson I just do not like...on the other hand, if you do roam, the 6620 gonna almost pointless in some countries because of the lack of 900MHz support. Which one's more important...EDGE or roaming? (btw, for me it's roaming)

what about the nokia 7610. Plus I don't know if I have edge over here, I do live in NY however, about 40 minutes from manhattan.

America is one of the first countries in the world that will support EDGE and you live in NY which is an important city in America, thus it will definately be covered by EDGE.

I'd recommend the 6620 over the 7610, its just better. Only thing i can fault is the Dual Voltage RSMMC for the 6620. Its abit more expensive than normal RSMMC, at least for the moment.........but thats a minor headache that will be resolved in time.
