so i heard a while back that Nokia is going to release a phone with a QWERTY keyboard(besides the 9500 and 9300), hopefully based on series 60, something to go head to head(and kill) the Treo
also what are the chances of Nokia making a UIQ phone?(like the se p900 and moto a1000)?

There are the Nokia 6800, 6810, 6820 and 6822 already for sale, but if you want one that is Symbian, I think you need to wait.
0% chance of a Nokia UIQ.

There's been a couple of rumors about some additional phones in the 9000 and 6800 series though, and I would be suprised if Nokia *didn't* have more releases planned, because at the moment it's not competing too well with Blackberries. We might well see something interesting next month.

the 6800 was innovative, but in true Nokia fashion, they change the color, fix one user complaint and call it a new model. The 6810 is a 6800 (in gold). The 6822 is a 6820 (minus the blue).
Come on Nokia, we've seen these already. If you're going to release a new model don't make it the old phone with a little tinkering. Give us something new for a change. I own the 6800 and the 6820. No way am I considering another phone with the same form factor unless there's a real difference (better color screen and a marginally better camera doesn't make my phone experience any different and it certainly doesn't add any features I don't already have).
-sigh-
Look at Motorola... quadband, MS SMartphones, the RAZR, the MPx (assuming they really release it). Nokia's best attempt at something innovative is the side-talkin' N-Gage. Every other phone is the same as every other phone with the addition or deletion of some little feature.
If they were to take the 6822, gave it more than a couple megs of storage, throw in an MP3 player and the FM tuner with a miniSD slot, that would be a new phone. Since it has a keyboard, it would be nice if the phone could open and allow changing of Word/Excel docs. Make it a series whatever. But taking the 6820 and putting in a camera that was never considered adequate and calling it a new phone is insulting.

what exactly should i be looking for in those links?
Nokia have a 3G version of the 9500 under test at the moment. Also there has been talk of the next Communicator having a touch screen. Sony Ericsson have had a new evolution of their UIQ phone every 10/11 months - I can't see Nokia couldn't do the same. I am sure lots of 9500 & 9300 users would replace their phones for a new model in say 10 months if it had a touch screen and perhaps 3G. I also suspect a 9300 with WiFi would be a killer device.

qwerty keybs for phones??? i don't really know..cuz i mean it's really way out of NOKIA's leauge..sure, they might come up with any phone cram in a qwerty keyb and say QWERTY phone..but come on!!..i'm taking integration here..the feel must be good and stuff and productive..no point having a keyb if it hampers productivity..i really didn't like the 6800..they keyb is nice and all, but i don't really see myself typing stuff on that..it's just not ok.. as far as UIQ from NOKIA..not happening soon guys..

I would be one of them...But i would prefer a touchpad(like the one of 4700) instead of a touch screen.
I would also liked a bigger 640X240 screen,3g will be nice, some UI changes(e.g full screen wallpaper) etc, surely a better poccessor, an Xscale one, also an SD/io slot also would be great. :D

P910 was the only touchscreen device i enjoyed since it has a numeric keypad for dialing atleast.
