New phones, new technologies...

I was really looking forward to getting the Nokia 7710, but now have changed my mind on it. I say so because in Malaysia, Maxis(mobile operator) has finally launched 3G cards for laptops. Soon, they would introduce 3G for mobile phones. So I was thinking if the 6630 would be good, but I want a touchscreen phone. Now that Nokia has finally released their first touchscreen phone, would'nt it be better to wait for a newer touchscreen phone, probably with 3G in the near future? Or maybe even with blackberry since they just announced the Nokia 6822? What do you guys think of this? Give me your views on this.

almattitude, ur in a dilemma like most mobile enthusiasts...

and the thing is, there will always be something else in the future which is better everytime, and u end up waiting and waiting...

I am personally in the same shoes as u, and i have decided to go for the 7710...

I am perdonally in a circular conundrum with the 9055 (i love KB's) the 7710, and the P50 from benQ. I want it all man! I love landscape phones, but the 9500 is sort of big... the P50 has EVERYTHING, yet its portrate. On the other hand, the 7710 is some big-ass screen realestate there. Again, a circular conundrumerristical decision :-P

i would go for the 6630 and utilize the 3g services. the 7710 is a SICK phone but nothing beats the speeds of a 3g network. for us yankees we will finally get a a taste by the end of this year.

dun even rely on Maxis's 3G yet.... MMS wasn't even stable yet~~ BTW, wats up with 7710? jus becos it's a Nokia? There were already so many touch screen devices in the market already before 7710.... why the hype now?

yeah i agree with u ... i checked out 7710 yeah its good and its fine but there have touchscreen devices for ages ..... dont really know what is the hype about except the large screen. i wouldnt really chuck up a keypad for a phone that size but that is my personal opinion. for me an imate jam makes more sense but ive just spent on a 6630 so not willing to get it.

really wise words here. i've been waiting since the 8210 :p . but i think i'll have to make my move the next 2 months. there would be always better products and technologies inthe future. find the best thing that suits you. and dont stay more than 6 months max. otherwise you'll end up waiting and waiting and waiting....... :rolleyes:
