Hi,

First merry xmas!!!!

I've recently bought a mobile phone from US, but when I received it I find that is T-mobile locked. Oh! surprise! :-/

As far as I know (I called Tmobile customer service) I need to be a 90 days customer in order to claim for an unlock code.
I have tried to open a Tmobile plan (legal way to unlock my mobile) but it seems to be a headache from outside US (Im in Spain, right now).

I cant provide an US social security number, I can provide my passport number but It is a problem...
I cant provide an US bank account, I can pay by credit card, but as far as Im not US resident It is a problem....
I cant provide a VISA, because Im not an US resident...

Conclusion, it is a headache...
Any T-mobile customer could help me? Claim an unlock code for my mobile (I have to provide my IMEI)?

I will send you a gift from Spain
or maybe I can pay a fee for inconveniences.
And for sure you will have my friendship

Thanks a lot in advance:

Wow, you shouldve done your research. A lot of phones here in the US are sim locked. Which phone do you have?

I can try for you, just give me your IMEI and I'll see what i can do...I've been a T-Mobile customer for over 2 years now and they've been pretty generous with phone unlocks.

Hi!! greetings from Venezuela.
I have the same problem than eu61, I live in Venezuela and I also bought an HP6315 from US which is locked for use in here.
Do you mind if I send you my IMEI in order to see if there is any chance to unlock it??
Thanks a lot!!

i do believe that t-mobile only gives one unlocking code per person or it may be the number of phones on the acct but i'm not sure i have to check wit them. but it may be possible for me to help also b/c i've been a customer wit t-mobile for about 2 yrs

They do one unlock code every 90 days...that's how I wasn't able to help someone who asked for my help...
