Hi, about a month ago I bought a Sim Free K700i and started having problems with it straight away. I cannot send text messages. When I try to send a message I simply get "message failed" or "no network coverage". I think the problem is that the text message setting is not set correctly.
In the message settings you have a list of options to set the message type, text is one of those options. However it is impossible to scroll through that list, I press up and down and nothing. It's as if the list isn't there. I know that you can set the settings on an individual message, so I have tried to do that aswell. I enter advanced settings but then the phone crashes and turns on and off.
The only time I have been able to acess the settings and actually send a message is when I press reply. Then it says text as the type and sending works.
I have tried this with two different vodafone sim cards. The same problems happened with both, so I came to the conclusion that the problem was with the phone. I sent the phone back to the shop and I recieved my new one today, it is a completely different phone.
Exactly the same thing happened.
I haven't got a clue what the problem is, it can't be the phone because it's happened with two different ones, surely it's not the sim card because again it's happened with two different ones. And isn't this too big a problem for it to be a firmware issue?
My firmware is R2AA003.
I am completely stumped.
If anyone has any ideas I'd be extremely happy to here them.
