sony ericsson z600 on cingular or AT&T?

does anyone have advice on using this phone with these carriers? i want this phone but don't want t-mobile (their service in san francisco sucks)

i had a Z600 with at&t earlier this year. i live in MD and coverage was very good, here. i think SE phones get above average reception in MD, NC, DE, PA, & NY. (with at&t, i now have a couple more bars, now, with cingular)
