I have to ask this question. Is there any way for me to convert an asian cdma2000 phone, or a european phone using the cdma technologie into a phone that will run on the sprint network. I have check out alot on this and for some reason i have only found that verizons network is the only one that can take these overseas phones after many modifications, and unlocking and suck. So i guess the question is can this be done to a sprint phone which as far as i know uses basically the same technologie as verizon. And i guess another question to be asked is, is there any way to use a verizon phone on sprints network. if not a less important question is does anyone have any idea what the differance between the two us carriers is. I believe verizon uses alot of sprints towers, and vice versa.

not cdma2000, they use UMTS, which is based on GSM.

Although Sprint and Verizon both run CDMA networks, Sprint runs differently than Verizon. I'm not sure about the particulars, but the only phones Sprint accepts are the ones it sells itself. I think there's some special software or even hardware Sprint uses that makes it different, but yeah, they're different so no luck there. Either way, I despise Sprint and Verizon as well...GO GSM!
