error when connecting k700i to pc

i bought the usb data cable for my k700i but it isnt working, when i connect it my pc does recognize it and i can go into my phones, then look at the different folders like pictures sound videos etc, but if i try and get into one of them folders my pc freezes and then says " unable to connect - unexpected error" iv tried using FMA but that isnt made for the sony k700i. any ideas?

im using windows xp with usb port 2
