Is the S700 slow as hell like the T610?

Hey guys,

I currently have the SE T610 and it is SOOOOOO slow beyond belief. I returned it for a brand new one, but they all are superdooper sloww! Well, I plan on getting the S710a. So S700 owners, did SE fix the super slow menus and everything or is the S700/S710 pretty slow too? Thanx for the advice. Peace.

the s700 is slow, but its a bit faster then t610. about same speed as k700 but could vary depending on how much things you have in your memory card

um, if you compare it to a most nokias - yup, it's slow. But if you compare it to other SE phones (like a T630 or K700), it's not all that slow, it's about the same.

Yeah for a regular user it isnt very slow, but if you're a power user it can certainly get frustrating.

Guys, Do you think future firmware updates, say about January time or even later depending on issues being tackled per update, could totally smooth out the SLOWW S700 speed? I'm thinking as more firmware updates come, the Phone will get to a quick if not regular phone speed (smoothly) . Do you guys agree or am I just to optimistic about this phone.

S700 is ok... faster than T610, T630, Z600 and the king of all slowish SEs (some might not even know = Z200 !!) The reason there's so many complaints is because due to it's spec, it attracted alot people to jump over from other brands.... Nokias for example..... these were not used to SE sluggishness.... therefore the huge outcry!! ...... :p
