I just bought a SE K700i 4 days ago.

There has not been a day since on which I did not have to shut down the phone by taking out the battery.

Funny things to happen are:

Phone rings, pressing the accept call button does nothing, phone keeps vibrating even after call, turning off phone does not stop vibrating
Phone stops any and all sound output -- no ring on call, no nothing on playing sounds or ringtones
turning off after these mishaps (both have happended 3 times each so far) does not help, as the phone does not come on again unless the battery is removed
.

is this normal? Is there a way to really reset the damn thing?

Needless to say, I'm rather disappointed so far.

Ive had mine for more than 3 months. havent had a single problem. Thats not normal for that to be happening. Take it down to a sony ericsson service centre asap!
