10 3G phones in 2005? thats total madness. all of a sudden i'm having second thoughts about getting the 6630.

come to think of it, screw the new 3G phones, knowing Nokia, they will take forveer to hit the market, and i surely dont have the patience to wait!

anyways, Nokia announcing 3G phones is a definative step in the right direction. for the 3G market and Nokia, since Nokia has the strongest presence and influence in the mobile world.

yah nokia needs to move on to 262k screen, though it's not a purchasing factor for me.

Yeah it doesnt make much of a difference, but it makes the phone sound more powerful and high end :)

There's a few phones in the Nokia range which are crying out for 3G versions, such as the 7710, 9300/9500 and N-Gage. The 7710 platform in particular could kick some serious backside as a 3G platform - it's just made for streaming media and video downloads.

agree on the 7710, also it would be nice to have a sliding keyboard on it since it's widescreen, and keyboard are wide anyways.

Well, the good thing is that it does have pretty high-rate EDGE support, I think something like 236 kb/s
