so i need a program so i can unlock it throu the computer. were can i find one??

one more... can i use the cable that is followed in the package when i bought the phone or do i have to get a special cable?

the sound is really good... but there could be more bas in it.. an equalizer would be nice...

when u start the phone it takes about 15 seconds before u can enter pin code... but all smartphones is slow like that...
sometimes the menues can be a little bit slow.. but nothing you get annoyed at..

BUT HELP ME UNLOCK THE ****ING MACHINE NOW!!!

I think you have awhile until the Unlock Convertors know how to unlock 6630s.

Especially when majority of people don't own the impressive device ... yet ...

Rydis, $370 for the 6630 seems to be way cheap, cause the word is that release price was goonna be around $600. Just to clarify, did u buy it sim free or on contract?

Usually when countries have more than one GSM operator, operators tend to lock the phone so that u can only use them with thier network.. this way if they give u a good deal on a phone, ur stuck with them.. unless u unlock the phone offcourse..
so unlocking is just taking the operator lock off ur phone so u can use it with any other network.

Well considering 3 slashed the price of the SE Z1010 to only $195 i'm starting to think (and hope!) that it wont be that expensive, and the SE hasn't even been out for that long yet! Of course that's locked and on prepaid, but heck that's cheap!

i dont think a simfree 6630 is gonna be around $370, but a release price of around $500-550 should be a good price....

rydis, apparently, the Crux code generator (NokiaFree's is based around this) supports the 6630 unlocking (i.e. it's a listed model). You might want to try that - though it suggests that the 6630 is a standard V2 ASIC type 5 phone, which I doubt, considering all the 6620s and 7610s needed different codes. When it asks for the box serial, I discovered that for the latest generation 7600s (which used to work on code generators) used the ASIC type 6 box serial. I will have a look for you.

as of now it can't be unlocked. phones available right now are based on DCT-4 apparatus.... 7610/6260 etc. apparently, 6630 isnt based on the same h/w. info: from eldar's review on mobile-review.com (russian part). so i guess the same unlocking facility would'nt apply to this. so might have to wait.
my opinion

john74, lemme know how fast the ophone is, that is in terms of opening files, application or even going to the menu screen and such.

btw, is that front sensor for the 3G base or the 1.3MP camera?

Well, take a look at the Uniquephones forums and the 6630 is listed as an unlockable phone - whilst you have to pay for the service (which I think is extremely tight) it does appear to be possible.

And if you want the NokiaFree Calculator I mentioned, look here:

----->the sensor in front is not for the 3G base and not the camera ,its a light sensor for the screen and keypad,a power saver (i played with my friends 6630 until i get mine on tuesday)the menu is slightly quicker than the 7610

So you're saying that it detects how much light is around the phone ... and adjusts the Screen Brightness accordingly?
