send it back to nokia. the keypad lights should not go out at all unless the whole backlight goes off.

Take it to a Nokia Service Center (NSC), it will be fixed for free since its a manufacturer fault. If it cant be fixed, it will be replaced.

At least, this is what happens in the UK.

If the phone is not working, take it where you bought it.. why do people ask these questions on a forum? :)

well...see....sometimes its just a function in the phone that makes you think its broken.

EXAMPLE.

YOU TURN THE BACKLIGHT OF THE SCREEN OFF....YOU DIDNT KNOW U DID IT. YOU THINK SOMETHING'S WRONG. WOULD YOU NOT, THEREFORE, ASK SOMEONE ON THE NET FOR ASSISTANCE AS IT MAY JUST BE SOMETHING SIMPLE AND SOMETHING THEY CAN HELP WITH, RATHER THAN GOING TO THE SHOP FIRST? BECAUSE IF YOU PEOPLE CAN HEP THEN YOU WOULDA SAVED HIM A TRIP TO THAT SHOP...and sometimes the people here have some really really good advice on what to do if its broken, especially if those people in those phone shops know sweet f.a. (nothing) about phones. SO, in conclusion, people ask these question in the forum because they believe that they can get some good advice.

maybe not "bro" as in brother....just "bro" as in "BRO"...

or one of those silly mistakes people make with their family tree...

Thats a damn shame then!! I suggest you format the phone, aka a hard reset. That may solve the issue, if its a virus.
