New features for 2005 NOKIAS

- n-gage doesnt have 3.5 mm it has 2.5 mm, this doesnt bother me, even if pop-port is there, i can always make an adaptor

- S60 & S90 will be meged into SUPER S60 and this will support even dual processors

- fast CPU for S60 is already implemented with the 6630

- 262 K screens, i dont care much, since it is hardly noticeable against 65K

- bigger screens for S60 is already on the drawing board

- STEREO MP3 is already available,

- 2mp cam or higher would be nice, but 1.3 i can still live with...

- itune AAC, yea that would be nice too...

You are correct and I want to add few things.

Ollila or Vanjoki said in NMC that Nokia is bringing models with 262k screens next year, although I don't know what these are for, the difference is really minor. Also Vanjoki said somehow mysteriously that Nokia is bringing more than 20 models with minimum 1 MPixel camera, and added that this really is minimum, not maximum at all, so 2 or 3 MPix is shown next year.

In fact Nokia is already supporting AAC, but iTunes uses its own encryption so that iTunes AAC cant be used in mobile devices other than iPod. But you can always export iTunes songs to MP3 and use it then!

I really wanna see a windows mobile OS on a nokia 9600 communicator along with a 5 mega pixel camera(LIKE SAMSUNG-CMON NOKIA !!!!! 9500 is UR PREMIUM CATEGORY!!!!) to it cause the current 9500 has a vga cam.....then a full screen movie viewer on the 9500 wud be fasntastic as I wont have to open my laptop everytime to watch some strippin stuff........then a wacky mini hard drive with atleast 5 GB space........a faster processor.......I also wanna see a complete new makeover for communicators.....It shud look somethin like star trek or somethin from a james bond movie !!!! Id like to see a phone design with a built-in /detachable bluetooth headset, well integrated into the contour design. Also, replaceable, since I am sure some of you will break it off the first try! :)

Something else would include AGPS (assisted) as in some of the US models in the Nextel. Or at least something like the technology built into the Geko102 - could be handy for active types :)

Aah, and you cant forget to include an Illudiam Q36 Explosive Space Modulator.

Yeah flash lights in phones are a great addition. They work great on the 3200 and 5140, it should become standard with phones.

why not a 3rd party add on that you can insert via pop-port or via the power connectors, SE has a torch the IBT-20 that you attach to the power port of any SE phone, i have 1... hmm, gave me an idea of why not converting it to be able to use with a nokia phone...

I second that. When I saw the Samsung 5MP camera phone, my immediate thought was that this shows that mobile phones better not converge with full-fledged cameras. As for my liking, a reasonable optics and a real flash are just too clumsy for a mobile phone.

Ok, I can't resist either. Plus, being pretty darn happy with my phone has lead me to post less that I used to. But here's to looking forward, with realistic hopes...

Take the 7610's features and hardware, and add:
- 2.0 MP camera with a short delay and quicker write-to-disk speed, and multi-shot mode
- QVGA screen would be nice...
- Cameras have advanced to allow photos to be larger than the MMS size restriction... why not videos? Hopefully 2005 is when phones start to give me 320x240
- Separate mic for video (the side the camera is on)
- Running Symbian 8.0 (dig the new features in the photo area, and hope it's a quicker OS)
- Everyone's wish for Nokia.. Stereo MP3 support if there *IS* mp3 support
- Retractable camera lense cover
- More Nokia media apps (like their on-phone video editor... it's pretty cool)

Nokia already has an add-on Pop-Port flash: PD-2 (http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,58974,00.html)

And this is real flash not only torch like SE add-on. Also this has Led-torch for camcorder, and its own battery which it fills through Pop-Port. (Its real flash so it needs pretty much power for a short time when taking photo, just like normal camera flash where you have to wait the flash to load energy before taking photo.)

anyway, heres what i wanna be using in 2005

BASE= Nokia 6230 (yes s40)
what i want in it:
-1.3mp cam (or higher) with effects, masks and pic size options for mms
-slightly bigger screen, like the 7600, but with higher resolution
-stereo loudspeaker
-more memory (1gb built in would be nice).
-Hot swappable rs-mmc
-some nice built-in picture and video editing software (the muvee app in 7610 is soo cool)
-high quality express-on faceplates.
-flash!

all what ive mentioned is possible, nokia shouldve annonced something like that by now as a successor for the 6230..

i just want better bluetooth system (which lets me send anything i want), more efficient memory handling... 'coz my 7610 lags a lot now that i've got a lot of stuff on there.. and a nicer screen =] .. maybe the camera will be upped to 3megapixel (c'mon samsung have 5!)... and there'll be a way to protect lens?
