I have played with one, but not really used it.
Very pretty. Feels solid.
Seems for the most part to be a SGH-S300 with a new body, and that isn't bad.

Got an E700 for two weeks now. Phone is really gorgeous. Small too.
Yes, you can send pics (jpg, gif) and ringtones (mmf, midi, imelody) to the phone via IR or data cable BUT with the PC only. Use the EasyStudio software that can be downloaded from Samsung's website. You cannot send pics/ringtones to other phones/PDAs via IR, only phonebook entries can be sent/received.
Usable phone memory is about 8.5MB.

does anyone know if samsung will manufacture a e700 for with tri-band for the US. I'm not a huge clamshell fan, but that phone looks really sweet. by the way if you've seen any the latest t-mobile commercials, the one with tom jones, they are using the e700 in this commercial. which is why i was wondering if samsung had one in the works for the US.

According to this site, the E715 is NOT Tri-Mode. Is this site right or wrong?

Also, I jsut wanted to make sure, no BlueTooth on the E715?
What cable can you get to link to the PC and how much is it?
Thanks!

Both models are Dual-band.
However, E700 is 900/1800 Mhz (global except USA)
and E715 is 900/1900 Mhz (global inc USA)
It would be better to have a tri-band phone, as 1800 Mhz is being used a lot now as a "spillover" from 900 Mhz, and only having 900 in some parts of the world may limit your reception availability.
Hope this clears up any confusion :)
