hey people, if this phone is released then why can i not see it in shops or even any shop websites or even the nokia website!!! still says coming soon!!!!

The have started shipping it, which means it will still take a couple of days before it hits the shelves.

thats not good enuff, i want it NOW!!!! if i fone the shops they should at least know then whenthey are gonna start selling it???

no problem. foned carphone warehouse an the guy said he doesnt have an exact date but he's gonna fone me when he knows. also persuaded me to sign up for talk talk which sounds good!!

From my experiences of going around to practically every phone shop in Sydney asking when the 6230 would be released, i've found out that they generally have absolutely no idea until they get the stock. At best they know a few days to a week in advance when the Nokia reps visit their store, the most common response was to just give them a call in a couple of weeks/days etc or just pop in again. So i'm just not bothering anymore, 3 will no doubt be the first to get it in Australia, so once its in their shop i'll have a look at it.

@cyberdog: I agree, the sales reps never know and neither to the managers. The only way to find out, is to wait until you see it in a shop.

even if they do know, most of the time they dont tell you so that if u urgently need a phone u will have to buy one straight away..

Yeah i found that too, in some shops they were desperately trying to get me to buy other phones, despite me saying no, they kept trying to sweeten the deal!

thats because they have set targets they need to reach everyday... so they cant really tell every customer that if they wait one or two more weeks they can get a better phone for the same price..
