for me design is first on the list and out of the 2 id choose e680. just cant stand 7710 design. specs wise well unless youre picky about OS and camera then its basically the same.

after browse through the web, i found the size of N7710 is too big - 128 x 69.5 x 19, compare to E680 - 109 x 53.8 x 20.5, Its bigger than P910 :eek:

I also notice the N7710 cannot operate in single hand for making call, which is the most weakness point. BTW, i haven't see any screenshoot for making call.

its massive... dude, just get the e680 man, youre just going to play around and around and then never decide, thats why yesterday i bit the bullet and bought the s700. i wanted the e680 but no megapixel cam plus the fact it looks like the super common a925 and a920 which means my phone would get no looks meaning resell value will drop. thats my 2 main reasons... but if youre a guy that doesnt think like me and goes more for functions then get the e680. youll save alot. i paid 639US for my s700, the e680 is only 509US. damn big gap, and you could use the saved money to buy a 1gb SD card. then youre all set!

Well, Sakamoto and Shaheen have you thought that 7710 is physically big because of the huge screen (and a ton of features)? Try watching a movie on E680.

7710 is a device meant to be used by two hands primarily. But you could use 771) to make phone calls single handed: browse the contact book with the navi key, click contact and call. Or use voice command, or use a head set voice command. Again, 7710 is a multimedia converngence device, not a simple phone.

ive watched a movie already on my mates e680 and its landscape mode, and because of its shape its much easier to use for gaming and just normal acitivites. so it can be used for both portrait and landscape mode, unlike the 7710 which is designed just for landscape.

basically, both are multimedia phone. E680 mainly operate in portrait mode (but can watch movie in landscape), and 7710 mainly operate in landscape (pls show me the dailing screen)

I looking for 7710 is because of its runnng S90, which allow me to install native apps. but I haven't see any native linux apps for E680 until now :mad: .

I love SD more then MMC, I don't know what is the max size of MMC card, but SD already have 1GB and next year will have 2GB (but E680 may not support?!)

I really like to try on Nokia phone, but always have something to stop me.

One last thing is the mp3 player, E680 have stereo even for built-in speaker, but 7710 still don't know whether is stereo or mono. Like 6260 was big disappointed to me.

e680 is stereo as well. and i dont know what youre talking about 640x320.. if thats the 7710 screen size then its another thing i hate about it, its too big for a phone, imagine the paranoia and number of scratches, ive no purpose for a big screen. and SD card goes up to 1gb as well. and its cheaper then 1gb mmc here.

You may have no purpose for it, that does not mean nobody else on this planet would. Personal taste!!! And thats what screen protectors are for, tho i dont see any difference there with the e680.

Have you ever heard of WAN Handhelds?? They are things like the 02 XDA, P910, 7710 and yes, even the e680. This is their form factor and their original basis of design.....Not just a phone, in the traditional sense.
These are mobile workhorses, less a laptop/notebook.

Ok since i didnt mention 1GB SD you assume i thought there arent any, i just didnt think i'd need to spell it out since i mentioned there is already 2GB SD. one would expect one to figure that they would have got to 1 before 2.
I agree, the MMC is more expensive, but thats just how the market is working, i dont control how they price. Besides, Nokia and SE have signed up to SD for their future products......thus, thats a moot point.

yes and no!! One big advantage over XDA from handsets like 7710, e390 and p910 is their longer battery life and non-volatile memory.

Nope....its all about research, dude!! If you do that, you would have known about 1GB MMC. Its on many sites that its stereo MP3. (tho, its still too early to be absolutely sure)

Its not choice, its facts i'm stating aswell. You see, you exude alot of hate for them in almost all he posts i've seen you talk about nokia. when folks come seeking answers, you use that attitude, which in turn rubs off on them and leads them off without objective info.
what you find "bs", another will find useful. No one is saying you shouldnt feel that way, just dont bring it to the fore, the way you do. Especialy when it supposed to be in aid of another's decision.
