Do the TZones feature work okay on unlocked SE T630/637?

:confused: just wondering if anyone can actually tell me if the tzones features work just fine with an unlocked SE T630/637? any info will be much appreciated :o

I have had no problems - just need to set the gatewaty to wap.voicestream.com - have you tried that yet?

thanks for the quick reply! :) actually i have not bought the phone yet but was thinking about it..i was just concerned that since the SE T630/637 is not really being supported by TMobile USA that the tzones features might not function properly because i sometimes read post where people complain that some features don't work right if they buy an unlocked phone that's not supported by their service provider ...but if you say it does then that's great!!!! thanks again :D

If you get the phone then simply email me your phone number. I'll send your phone an auto update of WAP and MMS settings via OTA.

Pretty much any unlcoked GSM phone will work with tzones, m-mode and all the other WAP sources. Just need to set the gateway to the specific protocols. In the case of tmobile it would be wap.voicestream.com

To get full functionality of WAP and picture messaging (MMS) you need more than just the APN (access point name) wap.voicestream.com - here are the full settings:
APN: wap.voicestream.com
User ID & Password: not required
WAP Gateway IP: 216.155.165.50
MMS Server URL: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms

Or an OTA (Over The Air) update will automatically program these into your phone. A call to T-Mobile customer care or an email to myself will get you the proper OTA. Enjoy!
