Hey .... Plannin to Buy either 7610 which is around 530 US $ Here In India.

Nokia 6600 is around 375 US $

Is 7610 worth it...I mean ...Apart from 1 MP Camera....what other specs are worth spending so much On ??? : confused:

Dose'nt the weird Keypad layout pose a problem while Playin Gamesz ??

Should I wait For 6670 ?? ?

the 7610 and 6670 are the exact same phone...
there arent many differences between 6600 and 7610, if u dont mind the fact that the 6600 is a year old then get it.
if u want a new phone that looks cool then get the 7610, there isnt much the 7610 can do that the 6600 cant.

The only thing that makes the 7610 better than the 6600 is the 1MP cam. Also the 6600 has Infrared and the 7610 doesnt.

Id recommend the 6600 over the 7610 as the addtional & isnt worth it.

The 7610 keypad, is apparently not bad and its apparently easy to get used to.

You bet, the 6600 and the 7610 are indeed very similar. I chose the 7610 because:
1. It's thinner (almost as thin if not as thin as a 6230) and weighs less than the 6600
2. I love the camera
3. Has more memory (only because it has a larger capacity rs-mmc, but you could always change the mmc of the 6600)
4. Has express-on changeable covers and keypad, making customization easy. Also, you can easily change the faceplate once it's worn or got scratched
5. My previous phone was an old 8250 (non-symbian, not colored - but had dazzling blue backlight).

Downside of the 7610: It is significantly more expensive than the 6600, 6260, 3660 and N-gage. Check prices first before deciding, any of the previously mentioned phones will do as they're all symbian.

*Don't get me wrong, I like the 6600.
**I don't like the 6670. I love business phones but there's something disturbing with this phone's design, I can't put my finger on it. The 6670 and the 7610 are one in the same inside with the exception of the Antivirus Software.

*******Had my old phone been a 6600, I'd probably get either the 6630 or the 9300 whichever is cheaper or whichever captures my fancy.

7610 has more inbuilt memory right? anyway, with money not being an issue, 7610.


Other worth while pros:

1.The Design, this is a phone id class along with 8910s..those high end high design high definition phones. Even though the technology may become run of the mill over the years the design wont die because it will simply still look like one of if not the coolest phones around! You'll def get people telling you,,phwoaar awesome phone...even if theyve never even used one it oozes the image of QUALITY.

6600's design is a 3310.

other reasons ...
True exchangeable fascias....faster menu...greater feel...etc

Yes! They make something with a cool design then they wreck it with this freakishly garish design that resembles ...urgh......its just the perfect example of good gone bad. Why nokia? But you've got its description perfect...DISTURBING

I think they think they were on a roll...make stupid keypad phone...release another with normal one...normal keypad doesnt suit the candy bar swoop shape.

oooh yay! i like being right! argued with my bio teacher today...eg

I GET IT MARKED WRONG! i have argument with her...another situation to explain... Socrates is a man; all men are mortal; ergo, Socrates is mortal. One thing I haven't seen mentioned here on this 6600 vs. 7610 thread is the fact that the 7610 has a faster processor.

Well I feel that the interface is much faster than my old 6600. Games run better, applications start up faster, moving though the menu's is faster.

I dunno if the current 7610 owners feel the same way?

The stupid thing about the 6670's keypad is that the 7610 was fine anyway, unlike 3650 which had a circular 1920's keypad which everyone forgot how to use 7610 is kinda normal, just a little curvy. Changing it was:

a. pointless
b. as smilewarrior said before...disturbing!

the design is much worse, not sure anyone would buy it except for...small birds
