Hey guys I just dropped my 6600 on the top left hand corner.. only had it for like 7 days!!!!! it really hurts to see the back of the phone now..so anyway.. I was wondering if it was possible to get a replacement for that part of the phone?

I am aware I can get faceplates and battery covers.. but how about that top part at the back which seems to be part of the phone itself???

I remember back in the days a friend of mine had a 8250 and a cover that covered the ENTIRE phone including the top back part, is that possible with the 6600????

PLEASE HELP

@YJT
Go to the Nokia Care office in your area. Nokia care technicians, if they have the spare parts, can repair/replace the damaged areas of your phone.

Your better off going to Nokia Care than other places who might offer cheaper rates, at least your sure your getting top service.

Nokia Care New Zealand: http://www.nokia.co.nz/nokia/0,,37170,00.html . You have 13 service centers to choose from.

P.S., Get a carrying case for your phone to help protect it against accidental drops. It doesn't need to be expensive, just something made of durable material that can cover the entire phone. Go ahead and protect your mobile investment.

I think they'll nee to replace the whole black area of the phone, and therefore, like was said above, the best thing to do is go to a Nokia service centre.

wouldnt he need a whole new "skeleton" for the 6600, not just the back part.

Yeah he'll need to get the whole body of the phone replaced.

getting a new 6600 housing for now.. has anyone tried the rubber type housing, aftermarket product for 6600? is it like the ones on the Moto E398?

I feel your pain. dropped mine after 2 days of proud ownership.

In fact the same fleece that once threw my sagem into the toilet decided to jettison it from my pocket as I jogged across a road.

Anyway, I know it's a late post, but the part you're looking for is available from L8shop.net you'll need a nokia screwdriver "t6" and some dexterity to fit it.

By the way, take care fitting -or more accurately removing- the cover, (where joo get the rubber one from anyway?) because with all the screwdriver prising apart the 6600 needs, you could be back where you started... or at least end up with gouge marks and plastic stress marks/cracks all around it...

Bon chance mon ami

I saw the rubber ones on Ebay.. the sellers were from hong kong, so i'm getting a friend to get some from me if i can't find them in taiwan when i go back in the holidays... i'm going to get a new case altogether when i get back as i don't have a warranty for my one and it'll cost an arm and a leg to get it sorted in NZ. from what i see the the quality looks OK.. i'm just hoping it like the rubber cover for the E398, although i get the feeling that thats just wishful thinking~
