ive been reading a few reviews about the 6260 and most of them seem to say the same bad things about the phone. Some people are even saying that the 6600 has a better screen and camera. other complaints were about the navigation buttons and how they are very loose and about how the phone feels very plasticy...
i am thinking of getting a 6260 for myself, but i dont really want to get it if its pretty bad..
What do u 6260 owners thing about ur 6260??

Well, to be honost, the phone is great I like it, and I don't feel any regret for buying the phone. The buttons are not loose as someone here said. The Screen is as bright as the 7610. Even the Symbian Software is the same as the 7610 Symbian 2.1 (SE). RealPlayer plays little bit faster than 7610.

The only problem with the phone is handling the upper and lower key buttons. you may have to use your both hands, like for instance writing a messege and using the C button..

so far after reading ^^ your opinions i think the odds are 8 reviews ive read to your 1review. still all 8 of them could be dead wrong so i suggest that the thread starter go play with a 6260 and find out for yourself if you like it.

phones great , i dont regret it , pics are good as 6600 but resolution of them is a bit smaller... phone needs some getting used to , keys need some little getting used to.. if u can do that , this phone is perfect.

lately a review of the 6260 is posted on the www.gsmarena.com it says that handling the lower and upper keys are not that bad as some have said. here what they said: (But what is that below the display? A block of function keys. They don't share space with the numeric keypad in the bottom part - Nokia has moved them up. I thought that this might be a problem and I was sure about that after the first couple of hours of testing the product. Nevertheless, it didn't take me a long time to get used to it. The user should hold the phone a bit higher than usual but that's not a trouble. I would say that from the ergonomics point of view it's even useful. It's not necessary to hold a heavy phone in the bottom part so that its weight works as a lever towards palm. Just hold it in its gravity center, place your forefinger in the back on the hinge and your thumb can easily reach both top and bottom keys).

hope that helps. sorry for mentioning another site over here. if its wrong just remove it... ;)

well, i want to do that but i can only play with the phone when it comes out in NZ at the end of the year.. im plannin on getting it sent from singapore so basically i dont even get to see it before buying.
I dont like buying phones that are out in shops because then it will be alot harder tryin to sell them, thats why i try to get the phones as soon as i can.

i got to have a play with one a few times and was thinking of buying it but im not going to bother anymore. quite disappointed mainly by the upper keypad thing but its just too big and feels dead cheap and plasticy like its a fake phone. going to wait for the 6630 instead, at least i can use my contract sim in that as its 3g

well i had the 6600 then i got the 6260 and i must admit the 6260 takes a lot of getting used to the phone in general is nice with good functions /screen/radio etc etc but the worse thing about it is the size its WAY TO BIG and not to mention the lousy camera i now have both the 6600 and i traded my 6260 for a 7610 and i must say i can now use 1 hand again to write sms messages and use the phone in general.if you go from 6600 to 6260 forget it you need to go from 7650/3650 to 6260 to my opinion

indeed that is the best way to hold it, and you better keep off from holding that bottom part since that is where the insternal antenna is located, as mentioned in the user quide...

I like it a lot better than the 6600. Its a lot faster than the 6600, UI is improved, has a radio and other functions. The keys don't bother me at all,
I hold the phone near the hinge and don't have any trouble using the keys. The phone does feel more plastically than the 6600, but IMO, it makes the phone feel lighter and smaller than the 6600. The hinge & twise works great.

Its a lot down to which design you like. They are pretty much the same phone, the 7610 has a megapixel camera; the 6260 has the flip. I'd recommend the 6260, but it depends on what your style is.

well, i am hoping it wont! from the User Guide that I have DLed, it is very promising, besides i am a BT freak and this phone is BT V. 1.2, that alone makes it worth buying, at least for me...

from what others have said, it does everything where the 7610 and 6260 are lacking... just save ur money untill next month...

SG$780 is not back at all, I wonder though why is it quite cheap (well cheaper than I had anticipated) and especially seeing as it just came out and there's limited stock? ...

I would get 7610 (more expensive though), but if you really like radio, get 6260 (cheaper too).

IMO, i would favour a Radio over a MP cam. hehe but Nokia's claim on the 6260's hot swapped memory slot is a joke really..... heheh together with the mem slot hinge, this phone does moves alot... getting nearer to Transformers (More than meets the eye....)... but i'm worried bout the non-click-move-any-angle-as-you-like-hinge thou.... time goes by---- dun even hope to type any docs using the advertisement's idea(the one featuring the guy and the BT keyboard) :D

The 6630 will be significantly more expensive than the 6260. Given unlimited money, I'd probably want the 6630 as well.

Hey Jolo you live in Oulu right?? Wah, my friend lives there, goes to the international school there, you know? Hehe, er anyway, um, the 6630 will be sig. more expensive than the 6630? Or do you mean more expensive than the 6260? I'd agree if so.

the 6260 should be officially out in singapore now.. but only silver and in limited numbers..

i might get the 7270 when it comes out... i dont think nokia can screw up that phone because its got nothing to screw up..

So, a funny thing. I had the 6260 a bit earlier for testing than when it was for sale. At first I thought it too big & plastically, like most people have complained. However, after using it, I decided that I really like it. I like the fold & twist. The size doesn't bother me, especially as I used to use a communicator. The screen size is great & a lot of the extras are pretty cool. Hot swap MMC is very cool (I got a 256 MB RS-MMC really cheap), FM radio, etc.
