Based on much of the same technology as Sharp's popular GX32 and GX30 models, the Sharp TM150 for T-Mobile has a lot going for it. It has that same amazing 262k Sharp display we all love, and it has a megapixel camera, too. Check it out.I have posted Sid's Sharp TM150 review (http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=865&source=FORUMS)

Great review, Sid!
Not sure if you are in a position to compare yet, but I have heard some people claiming that the megapixel camera on the s700 is "best in class"...and yet it seems that Sharp's TM-150 could also be considered as one of the top megapixel GSM camera phones...
Think it will be possible to have a "showdown" or some sort of comparison page showing the differences in image quality between those phones?
Also, I can't believe (if I read correctly), that the keypad has no backlighting? Even almost all budget phones have this feature...can't figure out why they would choose not to include such a basic function that I guess most people would take for granted.
Seems like a pretty nice phone otherwise. The review states that the phone is triband; I assume that it is 900/1800/1900, correct?

It wasn't the whole keypad. I remember it saying the softkeys (the unlabeled keys on the edges that change function frequently) were the one with no backlighting.

That's what I read. No need for 850mhz, it's a T-Mobile only phone and 900 is more useful for the world traveler.
I like the review, too. Sounds like a great phone overall. But some of those quips really annoyed me. Lots of little things that it seems were not implemented or crippled for no good reason. I mean why did they leave out the backlighting on the softkeys, why can't the calendar have reminders, why are video clips limited to such a short time? As the review said the included 16MB card is fine considering the limitation put on the multimedia functions of the phone, why didn't they just make the memory onboard, non-upgradable and save us the thickness/cost of a replacable memory card slot then?
The appearance of the phone is quite nice, I like it more now than the original pictures I saw before. It seemed childish with the metalic baby blue exterior then. I personally am a candy bar form factor fan, but this clamshell is quite tempting, except for that stupid external antanne! Such a twentieth-century look. I think sometimes they add external antannes simply to keep idiots from trying to force the phone open from the wrong side and breaking the thing in half because they couldn't tell they were trying to open it from the wrong end.

I checked out this phone for about 20 minutes at a US T-Mobile store and, the screen was nothing short of amazing - as was the camera. Pretty quick too with the refresh rate.
The only other screen I could compare the clarity and sharpness to would be the one in the BB7100t. Seeing both in my hands in camparrison, I was wowed. :)

i've heard that Sony Ericsson s700 has a better screen and camera then Sharp GX30, but i don't know if TM150 has a better screen/camera than GX30

The S700's display is not better. I have one.
The camera, on the other hand, could be better. Have to do real tests.

does this mean we'll see some comparions later?
Hope so.
The main reason the display of the TM-150/GX32 would be better is because they have a higher pixel density, making the image look sharper.

Hope so.Not likely. I don't have a Sharp handset to compare. I don't get to keep most of the phones we test.
I will probably do something comparing the V710 to the S65 and S700, though, since I have all three of those at the moment.
