I am in the process of buying a P910 to replace my P900 and want to find out if its possible to restore a backup made of my P900 on to the P910. If its possible, will the new and updated programs of the P910 be overwritten with the old P900 programs. It will be more convenient do such a restore instead of synchronizing with Outlook or Notes. Text messages, Jotter entries, pictures and video recordings cannot be synchronized with Outlook or Notes.

If anyone has succeeded please let me know. It was tedious trying to copy text messages, jotter entries pictures etc one by one when I was moving from the P800 to the P900.

The reply below is from Sonyericsson support center.

Is it possible to make a backup of the content in the P800 or P900 and restore it into the P910?
It is not possible to restore content from the P800 or P900 into the P910 using the Backup and Restore application in Sony Ericsson PC Suite.
To transfer data between P800/P900 and P910 please use Bluetooth™, Infrared or Memory Stick® Duo™. The easiest way to perform the data transfer is to use Memory Stick® Duo™.
