Verizon recently announced their first phone that allowed users of their CDMA network in the USA to travel abroad. The new Samsung SCH-A790 is that phone, and we've spent some time with it on two continents to test how well it works. The Samsung SCH-A790 review (http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=858&source=FORUMS) has been posted.

I thought this would actually be interesting for US readers.
does anyone have the unlock codes for the Samsung SCH-a790 and is there any way Verizon's sim can be used in another phone?

Well, Verizon doesn't use SIM cards...they're a CDMA network. And as for GSM usage, I have no idea if it's unlocked or not...

It still comes with a SIM card. The question is whether it's branded as Verizon or Vodafone?

Well, in the MB review, it said it came with a Vodafone SIM card, which makes sense because Verizon doesn't use a SIM card...and since it comes with a Vodafone SIM card, I'm guessing it's operator-locked to Vodafone?

That would make sense.
