Nokia 6630 Release Date

When is N6630 releasing? Any idea? they say its Q4 2004, but we are already into Q4... Someone has a idea? Which month atleast??

Eh, I guess it will be released at the END of Q4 rather than the beggining.

Its only the 4th of October today, Q4 is from Oct-Dec, so the phone can be released anytime between those 3 months.

so the 6630 have stereo? I like the 7610, eventhought I really like the P910 too but just too pricy.... Hope the 6630 will release soon, or should I just go for 7610, is the mono sound really that bad? I never have one myself so... any advice?

hmmm.. 7610 is a very good phone! its beautifulll! 6630 is not a very good looking phone but it is packed with features! mono sound quality is good! If and only if 7610 had stereo output... it would have been great! but.. you cant expect to have everything in life! well my advice is WaIT TILL 6630 RELEASES, THEN BUY 7610.. he he.. wait i will tell you why! when 6630 comes to th emarket the price of 7610 will come down by about $ 120.. it will help you in 2 ways one the price will be down and by that time you will also be able to see 6630 in real! before 7610 released ii thought it looked awfully bad.. but i was wrong! just wait for some time!! about a month or 2

yeah, I like 7610, even I m using the SE T616 now, its a great phone, just the fact that I want a smart phone. Hopefully 6630 will have stereo and I m sure I ll go for it :D

mono sound quality is good!
eventhough i havn't used the 7610, i have listned to music in mono and coded the sound for movies in mono, and mono just doesn't cut it, especially when listning to music.

so do you get any bass at all? From the speaker... I mean when playing music or movie.....

it won't skip anything, but it will sound flat, and just... bad. i tried to do mono to save space (i watched and listned on my tungsten t3) but it wasn't worth the smaller size. take the 6630 instead, if it has stereo. better in other ways too, but won't go into that now

i don't think stereo makes that much diff unless u are expecting decent audio quality.. i set my bitrate on smartmovie to very low and in mono for my encoding... because i don't expect great quality audio ahah... as lame as this sounds, i like putting MVs (with low quality sound) on.. and then playing music on iPod and 'synchronising' the two.. and then watch from there.

Well, the mono sound on my 6600 sounds like the Sony walkman i used to have so its definitely not that bad.

like i said i havn't used the 7610, or any other nokia mono mp3-phone, but if it's that good, myabe it's audible. see if you can listen to how it sound before you buy

Convert an stereo mp3 to mono and then you'll know what it sounds like.

Does anyone have any info about when 3 Australia is releasing this phone and for how much?? It seems they are no longer selling Nokia 7600's, its not on the website anymore, so i'm hoping it'll come out soon!

I've found a pre-order price for it on Expansys, but its crazy: $1579.95!! They must be joking!

okay, so in Cingular's case, that means it'll probably be out by April or May. :mad:

(freakin' Cingular takes their sweet @ss time in bringing out cool phones....)

after all, look how long it took them to introduce the 6230.

the regular version of this phone has been out now how many months? but nooooo.... Cingular once again took their sweet time in making it available to its customers.

In SA it also takes a while for the Providers to bring in phones. They've only made the 7610 available now. (although you could by it on local sites for a while now)

I think my first 3G phone is gana be the SE V800, although i wont write the 6630 off just yet.
