I admit i have never been a fan of vodafone, i had a contract with them when i was 15 and frankly the customer service was so bad that i returned to Orange. A few years later im with O2 having an even worse time with customer service.
My contract comes up for renewal around January and from what i have seen here (http://www.3g.co.uk/PR/Sept2004/8367.htm ) it seems Voda are heading in the right direction with 3g. All of the handsets seem more competent than anything Three can offer (excluding maybe the NEC 802) and it seems to me that Vodafone will be the most aggressive when it comes to getting customers on its 3g services. Having read on the same site than Orange will be launching with the SE z1010 and the LG 8150, suddenly IMO without having actually started its services Voda is in the No. 1 spot.
This strong launch line-up seems to go against what i have been reading about Vodas 3g strategy, which was to offer the handsets on the same level as 2g phones and in general not make a big fuss about 3g capabilities other than it will access voda live! faster etc. Basically im after peoples opinions as to who they think will lead the 3g race and whether mmo2 will actually realise 3g is a good idea.
