View Full Version : Warning Do Not Try To Change Faceplate On The 6620!!!

The 6620 will not take any of the faceplates available on-line! I believe the 6600s are able to except the faceplates, but not the 6620.
Yes I did attempt to take my OEM faceplate off on my 6620, and you can unlatch the bottom 2 clips on each side. But when you try to loosen the rest of the case it will start pulling out the internal board. Man...talk about nerve recking, $300.00 and I just wanted to put a rubberized cover on it because the OEM plate is damn slippery! Are there any phoneskins available for the 6600/6620? If so can someone help me out. Thanks and I hope I stopped alot of you from breaking your phones. Plus the warranty would be noll n void after you switch out the plates.

phoneskin as in the plastic cover for the phone or a thin fascia?

there is a sort of a non-slip stickers with design that u can put on top of the facia, forgot the name though...

That's new info, thanks.

I guess the 6620 and the 6600 are sorta different, internally. Maybe it's coz the board is different in the 6620 - having to make space and provisions for the pop-port? (which the 6600 doesn't have).
