But waiting is not a problem. If 7700 is a much better phone i can wait for it. Micheal which phone would u recommand?? P900 or Nokia 7700??? I want a phone wif a large screen and nice colour display. Able to do edit MS files. With a camera and the photo should be nice. Which phone do you think does those work better??? Would both phone be available in Singapore?? (South-East Asia)

Well what can i tell you Bryanboi? i for one fell in LOVE with the P900. i ordered one right away and im going to sell my T610. So my choice is maid, I will have the P900.
BUT to tell you honestly i am kinda impressed by the Nokia 7700. it has almost the same things as the P900 but it LOOKS LIKE A GAMEBOY hehe. it doesnt look like a PDA/cell phone. And i think it is MUCH thicker and heavier than the P900. and the cool thing about the P900 is the little navigational wheel on the side where you can go 5 directions with so you dont have to be dependent on the touch screen so much.
and im not a very bigg fan of Nokia. i work at an electronic shop and to tell you the truth, our drawrs and workplace is just filled with Nokia phones that people return because they dont work. MY GOD i mean like over 50% of all Nokia phones i cell come back because they break or dont work. that is a HUUUUUGE problem for Nokia. Sony Ericsson on the other hand has a good reputation for making quality phones ( ecept for the sound problems on the T610, which mine didnt have btw). i had a T68 for over 2 years and my brother has it now. its STILL WORKING perfectly, battery doesnt need to be recharged more than once a week and it still hasent failed. works perfectly and my T610 has NEVEr stalled or broken, NOT a singel scratch on it considering ive dropped it more than 5 times. great phones from Sony Ericsson.

SOOO bottom line, if you want a quality item that is sophisticated and that you can depend on working everytime you use it and depend on the company to fix it for you when it doesnt then you should go with the P900

I know i am =)

The 7700 is quite large and heavy when compared to the P900.

Too large for me to put in my pocket, so that pretty much rules it out for me.

Big screen is nice, of course, but not of much use if I can't easily bring the phone with me.

It is like the 9210. Awesome device. I used one for months when I first moved to Germany since it had a great English/German dictionary app installed on it. But I had to carry a backpack with me everywhere because it was not practical to carry alone.

Eventually, as my German got better, I had to give it up. I couldn't tolerate being tied to the brick.

7700 looks like the same thing to me, but without the keyboard that I would rather have.

Were it me I would probably go for the P900, which looks far more respectable and not nearly as heavy as this thing. Nokia always seem to implement really cool features on huge, horrible looking phones, like when the 7650 first came out (although it looks far better than the 7700, that's for sure :P)

Only time will tell if the 7700 ends up like the 3300, i.e. just ends up being a marketing stunt and nothing else. Hmm....

yeh i think so to. i dont think any respectable buissinesman will be caught dead with a nokia 7700 that looks like a gaming console from playstation 2. and its to expensive for ordinary people to buy it.
the P900 though looks far more respectable and sophisticated.

Im getting the P900

But no matter how you slice it, it is a lot.

It will come with Opera on the CD, and you can download it free from the Opera website anyway.

Nokia made the 7700 like the N-Gage, so you have to hild it like a taco when you are on the phone!!! That is the most stupid thing I've ever seen!

more of a media device. phone function to be used with a head set. but I agree, they should include possiblity to hold it like the Communicator.

I sent my own feedback on this to Nokia already. Please do so too, maybe they can still do something about it!

But the 7700 isn't even a smartphone like the P900, it's using a standard Nokia OS and doesn't have many PDA functions like the P900.
The 7700 is billed as a 'media phone', so its main appeal is for entertainment, not business like the P900.

It's using SYMBIAN with the latest series 90 as the UI. For sure it is the best or the complete media mobile phones at this time (function wise)

i guess it is very good to put it on the table as an alarm clock or maybe organizer etc but not as a phone that hold sideways onto ur ear :p
