While not the first phone in the world to use a loop type external antenna, the CF62t could be the phone that does it with the best style. It is quite a small and compact phone, with some real strong points, but is this Siemens entry level handset, too entry level? The Siemens CF62 review (http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=860&source=FORUMS) has been posted.
The review was of the T-Mobile USA version, the CF62T.

I think the CF62 is the ugliest looking clamshell ever. Really. Having in mind that it's sibling is the Z200.

Great review, but i really dislike siemens phones. After using 2 myself and watching a friend suffer endlessly with an SL55, i really dont like their phones.

Well, I think they are less quirky than they used to be. In the past it seemed that the only group of people to use them were the Germans. And most all of the Germans used Siemens phones. But Siemens has been doing a decent job in penetrating new markets. They haven't gotten it down perfectly yet, but they are getting better.

I agree with the fact that they are getting better, but in comparison with the other companies they still cant be considered huge rivals (IMO).
The biggest problem im finding with the new siemens handsets is their screen colour quality, its dismal and ruins the whole experience, of what would otherwise be a good phone.

You mean it's uglier than the Z600?

I like the Z600's looks a lot. But for that matter, I liked the Z200 and the CF62....

CF62?.....dunno.... feels like a bit 'wanna-be' to me. A clamshell just for the sake of a clamshell; courtesy from Siemens. It wasn't refined at all....Z600 is one of the best looking clamshells in the market; avoiding the 'slim theme by that time' (maybe fashionably, or un-technologically) i love the sub display, the keypad(best so far) screen(better than T630) nice faceplates that doesn't affect the overall sturdiness of the phone.

The T630 has a better display than the Z600. Not much so, but still better.
As to the CF62 looking "wanna-be", it looks different than most clamshells out there, so I don't see how you can say that. Samsung clamshells, in general, look wanna-be. They all look the same, for the most part.
The new SCH-a790 we are testing, however, actually has a unique look to it. Very pretty.

i think siemens should try out the smartphone market. theyre going towards the fashion side of phones which are dominated by samsung and nokia. they should start producing some serious hardwared phones. the sx1 wouldve sold like hotcakes if they didnt try to implement the fashion keypad into it. Fashion+ functionality doesnt always work out. unless its a 6260:D

Shaheen: Yeah, siemens didnt do such a bad job with the SX1 if it wasnt for the bad keypad. They should really try hard to make a business phone thats user-friendly, they would probably do really well.

Well, IMO N7200 looks different, and worked out very well with the design; refreshing too. CF62.... really isn't that mouth watering.

They set the basic clamshell look thou; and still stick to it...... Corporate ID ??lolz

I have a question: How come you guys reviewd the CF62, but there's no review about Z200?
It seems to me, that MobileBurn, while it's the best in reviewing the newest and the best expenive models, there aren't really reviews of low-end phones (and I don't mean "low-low end" phones like Nokia 1100 or something, but the most common phones, like most of us use).
I, for example, am looking for a new phone, it will probably be something like CF62 and Z200 (Motorola V180 looks good too), and I find this great review of CF62, but only picture gallery of Z200. What gives? Can someone please explain?

And then have the time to review them all.
I can assure you that is certainly not the case. I review what I can get, when I can fit it in.

Sorry if I sounded hostile, that was not the plan.
I just assumed, that when you can get a K700i for reviewing, then a low-end phone like Z200 is not a problem.
If you don't have enough time, that's another story.
Again, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be impolite.
Peace. :)

Nice review.:) Another great handset from Siemens.
It's a bit too plasticky, but very well made, easy to use(as all Siemens phones are) and packed with features(considering its price).:)
