Hi, does anyone own the QD and a Nokia with 64k colour sceen? If you do, does the QD screen look like a 4k colour screen or not really? I don't even know if that makes sense. Cheers

I think somewhere in Nokia.com, made a special page on showing the difference between a 256, 4k, and a 65k color screens. But I don't know where.
But I can confirm that there is a difference between the 2 color screens, especially the sharpness of the picture, and whether the picture is in true colors or not.

There is definitely a huge difference between a 4k and a 65k screen. It very noticable with series 40 phones, like the screen diff btwn the 3100 and the 6600, and also there is a big diff between the original Ngage 4K screen and my 6600's 65K screen.

But not necessarily a huge deal for video games that (most of them, especially in a mobile game) don't really need to use that many colours. I think the important thing was to reduce cost by using 4k screen.
The screen of the QD is 4k only, but it is reported to be brighter than the 4k screen of the N-Gage classic. Compared to the 64k screen of a N6230, I cannot see a huge difference as far as the colors are concerned, but the N6230 screen is definitely better readable in direct sunlight.

In my opinion the screen on the QD was brighter, anyone lese think so? I really think they need to do away with the 4K screens. They are horrid.

I completely agree. For the time being, I wouldn't want to trade in more colors for a higher price and / or shorter battery life.

Well actually i tend to think that the colour depth of a screen will be most noticable on games.
Let me explain:
On PC's the difference between 16bit and 32bit colour is hardly noticable UNTIL you start playing computer games.
Its possible that this is the same scenario with cell games
