PLEASE HELP !!! T610 or anyone

I've had a T610 for about two months now, and I also use it as my alarm by leaving it on the floor by my bed so that the vibrating causes a loud rattling noise which rouses me. However the other day I also had a cup of water next to my bed and when I silenced the alarm I accidently put it RIGHT IN THE CUP! I didn't notice it until I woke up at some later point, it was in about an inch of water for probably at least 15 minutes or a half hour.

When I tried to turn it on it just froze on the blue startup screen and then turned off after a few minutes and hasn't turned on at all since then.

I called T-mobile and said it "just stopped working" and they said they would send me a new one and for me to send it back in the box the new one comes in. They said they would check it for damage that they wouldnt cover and if they found any signs (of water damage etc) then i would be charged a replacement fee.

My question is about water damage indicators on the T610. How exactly would they check for water damage? Is it a litmus test thats guarenteed to show up as being water damaged? Or do they just check for traces of moisture, and if so, can I just leave it in my car or something to fully evaporate all of the traceable moisture? There is a round rubber thing covering something on the back that I cant remove without taking the phone apart, is that an irreversable water damage indicator that they would know if I was to tamper with? Cuz if it is then that part was definetly soaked in water for minutes, so I'm screwed. Is there ANY way that I can conceal the signs of water damage? Is there something that I can just switch with the new phone they sent me?

Any help would be unendingly appreciated

Trying to 'ON' a phone that was submerge into water is truely un-Mobile Burners. Actually, when phones do get into water they get shortcircuited, you can simply fixed it by blow dry it then on it after a few days -- if ur lucky.
In ur case, ur doned. They will try to find traces of water or damage by such incidents that were found normally. Mostly, they'll find it. But i guess u can stick to ur lie and act like a complete moron. I guess we're not teching u to fraud with 'SPECIAL TECHNIQUES' but just by encouraging you to act more convincing. :p

I do suggest that you pay them that replacement fee.

Once they open it up (down to the board inside) - no matter what excuse you've told them, they would clearly see that the phone was damaged by water.

Really you should pay. That way you'll keep real good care of the replacement,keep it away from glasses of water and all that. But I must say that you have a very unique way of using the alarm. ;)

lolzz... i just re-read his posts again. Maybe he should get a Moto 8700 with those low frequency vibrates that'll move the whole friggin phone when it vibrates.... and if it moves; maybe it'll wonder away so he couldn't place it into a cup of water (even the size doesn't allow him to do so) hehe :D
