Hi to you all,

First of all, I just wanted to say I have been surfing this site for some time and I like what I see.

I have recently brought a 6230. My question to you all, is what is the maximum sized MMC that you have been able to use with this phone? I have recently spoken to club nokia and they say they only support 64MB. However, I have heard and read mixec reports about this. Could you tell me:

1.) What size MMC card will work with no problems?

2.) What model/manufacturer MMC card is the best to buy for this phone?

3. ) Are there any disadvantages/advantages in the different ways to transferring files to and from my phone? I will be transferring the usual: mp3s, photos etc.

I would very much appreciate any help.

Ciao,

Vipul

1) no maximum as far as im aware, tho some brands dont work, can be slow as the cards get larger and they cost a bomb after 512.

2) i used expansys 256 card at £37.99 its now £20, so im not sure where you're from but its a bargain. they also have a return policy in case the card you buy doesn't work in your device.

3) card reader/ writer is the fastest and best way to transfer stuff (you also dont need to use the nokia software for mp3, just paste into the new drive the reader/ writer creates) or cable; dku-2 to use with the software, which is somewhat slower than card reader, or a bluetooth dongle (slow) or infrared adapter (very slow). my card reader is built into my canon mp370 printer but they're very cheap on their own anyway

1) 1GB MMC will work, but if u need to format it using a crad reader, dont format it using ur 6230, in addition, if u have a lower Firmware (3.14 and 3.15) the phone will not display correctly the correct memory size of ur card, but it will still work... 6230's with 4.28 FW shows the correct size up to 1GB
