Hey. Um, about the 6630, is it, or isn't it, capable of playing stereo mp3? I thought it had, then the rumour said it can't (someone I believe confirming it cannot on HoFo), then saying it can, then it can't, then it can, et cetera et cetera et cetera. Sooo can it or can't it? My guess it cannot, though...
sales package includes:
Nokia Stereo Headset HDS-3
So, I would infer, it is going to be stereo

Yup, though Bart said it still wasn't (go figure). Something like other headsets within the sale packages of other phones were still stereo, but the phone did not support it. Or something along the lines of that...

Nop I read somewhere in Nokia's site that it supports stereo output, and it's confirmed by them. Ask Michael maybe he would shed some light on that matter.

Well we know the 6260 has stereo mp3, and though it doesn't mention that on the Nokia site, it does say 'mp3 player'. Nothing of the sort on the 6630 Nokia website.

Well, in case you hadn't noticed, bart is a true SE fanboy through and through - shown by saying something like that. I'm pretty sure it's stereo and even Michael said it was.
I haven't seen Nokia phones that come with stereo headsets (or on their accessories list) and not support them or only have mono output? Can you give me an example? On the headsets with radio they had stereo FM radio output.

Well think about it rationally: would it make sense for Nokia at this point in the game to release a high end phone i.e. Nokia 6630, with such a ridiculous feature set? The Nokia 6620 has the pop-port and I thought it was dumb until I found out it was for the stereo headset. The 6630 is the successor, so it'd BETTER have stereo, right?

Yeah, you'd think, but let's face it, there's sometimes no rational logic to the phone market (at least not that the consumers see). You'd think the 7610 would have stereo too, being a Symbian phone above the 6600 and N-Gage but it didn't, and it (the 7610) has a Pop-port but no stereo.
