n gage infra red

there's a discussion on another forum where someone is saying that their n gage has infra red and someone else swears that it doesnt. i myself didnt think it did either.


just to clear it up does the n gage have infra then yes or no ?!

I *guarantee* you it doesn't have IR.

Though on that note, the sales staff in the Orange shop spent 15 minutes trying to convince me it did, on that black edge near the on/off button when I was adamant it didn't have one. You occasionally get people who say stupid things unfortunately...

Anyway, the only reason it would be nice is probably for IR remote control applications and data transfer.

thanks... that's exactly what the person on the forum said but the person with the n gage swears black and blue that his n gage has infra red and he uses it on a regular basis. either this person is literally blind or hes trying to fool himself that he actually has one...

He's a total head-case. I can only imagine he's confused a 7650, 3650 or 6600 with an N-Gage, quite a feat in itself...

So lucky we don't have too many of those here. What makes the whole thing worse is that 'khucky' who thinks his N-Gage has IR is a 'senior member' as does the other tosser (andrewkeith5) with 390 posts... He is confusing it for the speaker port. Some things are just beyond me - period

I have N-gage and I'm not that stupid not to find IR. So, it doesn't have one. Prototype N-gages had IR, I saw prototype pic somewhere on the net, and it had IR next to on/off button.
