I have just tried to purchase a Nokia 8910i here in the UK but have been informed by my retailer that this model is now officially discontinued by Nokia UK and no further handsets will be available...

Is there a replacement on the way shortly??

Anyone.......

That's not an official announcement. Retailers talk out of their ass all the time.

There are plenty of retailers out there who talk ****. I work at a Telstra shop in South Australia and I know we can still order the 8910i from numerous suppliers, so go to a few more phone shops and ask them. I know you aren't in Australia so things may be different in the UK but it's definately worth asking at more places!

I have tried a few places but a lot already have stock. I will keep an eye on Expansys, when their stock sells through, I will see if they are able to source more of them....

Thanks guys

Russell

I'm also hunting for a clean used one, but sadly everytime I find one, it has to be scratched or used heavily. I found them for $140- $150.

Yeah, I'm considering getting a cheap one for my collection too. At the moment though, I wouldn't be willing to spend $500+ on essentially a backup phone.

The 8910i is on my all-time top 5 list. I love that phone.

Can I ask your reasons behind it? I mean, technologically it's lacking, WAY behind the times even when it was released, based on 8310 software. Sure, it wasn't meant to be high-tech but it didn't do much and after the novelty of the smooth eject wore off, you were left with a phone you were so scared of taking out of your pocket cos someone might mug you for it or you'd scratch it. As you can tell, I didn't get on with it, or it's parent, the 8910 but that's just my opinion.
