... is it 128mb or 1gb? I heard on a video on esato that it supported memory stick duo up to 1gb is that right?

Also, is it possible to play movies on it like you can do with the k700?

Thanks

wma are much smaller, and thats not considered an mp3....theres a few programs to reduce the bit rate of songs which reduces its size but its not worth it to do that for every song...just spend another 100 bux and get a 256mb or 512 mb player....im using my gx32 with 256mb SD card for mp3 songs and im happy with it...

Is there a size-limit to those mp3s?

not size limit just speed limit, cant be over 256kbps, but rarely any of my songs are that fast

And I'll put three bullets myself. What should you do with that huge screen (for a mobile) if you can't play movies?

Will the 710A have support for 1GB?

Btw, in all ways, how does the S710A differ from the S700i?

S700i = GSM 900/1800/1900
S710a = GSM 850/1800/1900 + EDGE

Thats all. Same limitation on max storage.

Does anyone think that Cingular will even have EDGE in Los Angeles, California by the time the S710A comes out iin the U.S.?

Shoot! Is that true?

I wonder how come? Maybe because it becomes too big? (the filesize).

Can you ask your friend for more info, like maybe a mini-review of his s700?

:) cheers!

No, don't think so. It's rather the processor and the hardware that can't handle that huge rendering on the screen that makes the limit.

Somebody at howards pointed out that the viewfinder makes use of the whole screen so harware wise it would be possible to play movies in fullscreen. However, the viewfinder does not have to deal with compressed files on the other hand, which may require more proccesing power.
