I have a SE T68i, which I just got replaced via insurance. I haven't been able to reconnect my Bluetooth headset to the new phone. I go to add a paired device and it doesn't seem to find it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I've also been having trouble getting Xtend Connect to work. My laptop sees the phone via IR, but XC won't detect a phone connected.
I had all these things configured a year ago, with the old phone, but I lost all the boxes and paperwork as well, so I'm kinda in the dark here.
Thanks!

Are you sure the headset is in pairing mode (stupid question, I know....but....)
The sync software is a pain. Actually it isn't the sync software, but the Sony Ericsson software that monitors the ports for the phone.
I've found that sometimes manually running the Synchronize app will give the port monitor app the kick in the ass it needs to look for the phone.

How do I put the headset back in pairing mode?

Turn it off first.
Then hold down the power on button. First you will get the normal power-on sound, but keep holding down the button.
After a few more seconds you will hear a high-pitched beep and the LED will start alternating between red and green.
That means it is waiting to be paired.

Michael,
Thanks, that got the pairing thing to start, but now it's asking me for a password.
Sorry about this, I feel like a clod for losing the documentation. Any further help you might have is greatly appreciated. :)

I called Sony Ericsson customer support and got someone there to walk me through it. Thanks, I do appreciate the help!

The PIN code for most non-Nokia headsets is 0000 by default.
