First of all, Hi All, this is a great site and I've been lurking around the forums as well before need prompted me to register :)

A long time ago I came across a file format for T68i ringtones which allowed you to use ringtones by just putting the composition keystrokes between a header and a footer and then beaming the file to the phone. Unfortunately, I don't have that info anymore and I recently reset my phone. So, any help? I seem to remember that the file extension was .awt, but that's about it.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not that great with SE phones but have a look here:

Many thanks, that did the trick! For any others that might be interested, you just have to create a text file in Notepad in this format:

BEGIN:EMELODY
VERSION:1.0
MELODY: (insert keypresses here)
END:EMELODY

Save it as .emy and you're good to go.

that is the old ericsson eMelody ringtone format. t68i also supports iMelody standard.

Well, I couldn't quite get it to work with iMelody, with the standard compositions I copied off a website the file wouldn't play...is there any difference in the sound quality? From what I could see all it does is provide tempo control. If you have any iMelody tones, could you post one as an example?

In alta ordine de idei, Salut :)

neatz! marfa sa mai vad un roman p'aici!

iMelody, along with tempo control also offers a much more customisable array of options, comparable with the flexibility of Nokia ringtones.
