Ever since i installed a spiderman theme, my phone has been acting wierd. Error messages popping up, and general sluggishness. I removed the theme, but the problems continued. How do i "reset" the phone? I tried selecting the option but its asking me for some kind of password! I dont remember ever setting one!
So what do i do now???
thanks in advance

It's probably asking for the master reset code - by default it's 12345 and if it's not then you've changed it.

Enter *#7370# with a sim card inserted.

also you can try this:
hold these three keys together

-Green dial key,
-Star key (*)
-Three key (3)

then press the power on/off to swtich on the 6600 phone.

Do not let go the three keys until you see the "formatting" screen displayed
..before format your phone make sure that is full charged

The best you can do is restore to factory settings, or get someone to flash the phone.

Good day. Can the nokia 6600 play mp3 files? I've read somewhere that it can't and you have to convert mp3 files to a wav file or a .ogg vorbis something for it to play. Is this true?

Is there a free mp3 playing software for the 6600(third party application)?

Thanks.

This is true. There is no out-of-the-box support for the MP3 for that phone (and it's not a problem, because it's sound reproduction sucks anyway). You can playback WAVs straight off and OGG with a freeware player which is available (but third-party and not included directly) - http://symbianoggplay.sourceforge.net/

This may also be of interest - http://www.symbiandiaries.com/archives/rafe/001246.html

Like it says, RealPlayer ought to play MP3s for you, but again, I reiterate, you will be severely disappointed (like I was) with the sound quality on the 6600.

Yes, UltraMP3 has some nice touches like skins and built-in visualisation and it is one of the *better* sounding ones (it still sounds awful mind you) but the only thing it's missing is playing across Bluetooth headsets - before anyone says 'but Bluetooth sounds terrible', the sample rate on BT is the same as the internal sample rate on the 6600 anyway, so you wouldn't have any hugely noticeable increase in sound quality on a wired headset/headphones.

Ok I got the idea of formatting, but what about after the formatting is done? How would you be able to install the whole software back? I have problems with predictive text on my Nokia 6600. All I get are numbers. I cannot send text messages anymore. Is there a fix for this? Please help. Thank you.
