hmm it looks cool on the outside, but the inside kinda looks like a bit to reminicent of the color V60 for me.

Anyone know if it's CDMA or GSM?

The Moto iDEN i830 is Nextel only. It uses the Nextel proprietary iDEN network which is neither CDMA nor GSM (although TDMA derived, as is GSM) So its not going to work on any network either than iDEN (which Qualcomm came up with, I believe)
