I'm not sure...oh well. Here are the differences between the phones:
E365 has a bigger screen
C650 can play mp3 ringtones (i'm not sure if the E365 can, but I don't think so...)
C650 apparantly has a USB port! (i was surprised when I heard this...)
E365 has about 500k of more memory.
Everything else looks the same, so yea...IMO I'd go for the E365, even though it's older, mainly because of the bigger screen, and it looks better.

Oh, and the C650 has two times more talk time than the E365, so the battery lasts longer (I think the C650 has an 800 batt and the E365 has 700? Not sure...).

oh thank you so much guys!!! I had 4 x70 phones in 2 weeks, got my money back for it, and got the v600 and have had it for 3 weeks and have to say, not one problem I love it!!!
So the e365 screen is bigger but is it clearer than c650??? And does the c650 take better pictures? I want it for my dad. I know the c650 has the coloured lights, but coloured lights wouldn't really bother him to have.. Is the c650 practically the same as my v600 except of course a candy bar phone not a flip?? does it take as good pictures??
thank you both for helping, you both always help me.. Thanks

Hey. Darn, that's gotta suck (fiasco with the X70). Anyway I'm guessing that pics look bigger on the E365 because of it's bigger screen resolution. You can see pics taken by both phone here:

I think the C650 pic looks clearer because it has been resized smaller. Anyway hope this helps.

Hey. I think that's most likely because the other pics were taken in indoor low-lighting settings :). Need lots of light. Anyway no problem...

The E365 is horrendously ugly and one of the least attractive handsets in the range. Really Motorola aren't very good at doing candybar format phones, although they do have some better ones coming up.
If looks are a criteria then go the the C650. I can't see the E365 being in production much longer either.

Yea...it's been a while since the E365 was announced. Pretty old. But IMHO the E looks better than the C!

i've tried both phones, i say go for the C650. E365 only has a better screen than C650, the rest of the phone features are better in the C650 (triband/quadband, fast software, mp3 ringtones, over 1MB phone memory, java, speakerfone). camera picture quality is almost the same.

Thanks guys!!
So the c650 enjay is the same picture quality as e365??? Is it the same picture quality as v600? Or no where near as good??
Thanks for all your help, the people on here are so nice...

here's a pic taken with the E365:

if you'll notice the E365 pic is somewhat smoother/softer while the C650 pic is sharper/with visible jagged edges. sorry if the sample pics are not using the same subject, i no longer have the E365 with me therefore i'm using an old pic.
the E365 has a bigger (120x160) and brighter TFT screen, while the C650 uses a smaller (128x128) and dull CSTN screen, both can display up to 65k colors.
btw, i haven't tried a V600 yet therefore i don't know which of the two cameras (E365, C650) produce (almost) the same pics as V600.

Actually the E365 has more memory (about 500k more I believe) and both have Java.

Gee Thank you enjay, that was so nice of you, I really appreciate that :)
The thing is, it is very hard to choose which one to go for, because they are both very similar phones, even the picture quality very similar. The c650 doesn't hold any memory for sms only on the sim card....
So now the display screen of the e365 is bigger and clearer, is there much difference between a TFT screen and a CSTN screen? I don't know much about stuff like that, you guys seem to be the genius' ha ha!!!
Thank you so much though enjay for taking pictures for me.
I really prefer the look of the c650, but if the screen is bigger than the c650 and more clear that makes it really tough decision.... I can't even go for price, because where I am buying them both from, are the same price!!!

yup TFT displays better pics than CSTN, best for you to try out both phones and decide which one to get. another thing you may want to consider is UI speed. the E365 is very slow, while the C650 is fast, pretty much like the speed of nokia UIs imho.
@cdover, yup if i'm not mistaken both phones have about 2MB of memory (including pre-defined items), E365 does not have java, well at least the unit that i got did not have it.

Anyone can answer this question

l prefer the design/looks of the E365 over the C650. Featurewise, I choose the C650. I put more weight on features over design/looks, but that's just me. :)
glad to be of help Mobbygirl. ;)

Thanks Enjay, i will go with that c650 based on your decision, because you'd know what you are talking about. Oh, one thing, is the sound loud and good reception? because my dad's hearing is starting to slightly go, either that or he ignores me ha ha!!! So is the sound loud and good speakerphone and reception, sorry to bombard you with q's...

yup, earpiece and speakerphone volumes are loud with the C650. signal reception is excellent, as is always the case with motorola phones. E365 doesn't have a speakerphone feature.
fyi, my mom's using the C650 that I had before and she's loving every bit of it. i'm currently using the E398.

You telling me the e365 doesn't have a speakerphone makes me definitely opt for the c650, thank you so much...
I really want the e398, but i opted for v600 because it was a flip phone, and never had a flip before, but I prefer the features of the e398.. Very lucky you are!!! How do the situational lights work on your e398 or even the c650?? The lights on the v600 glows as three round circles onthe front....
I really want to thank you for your help, you have been very kind...
Thanks

i wanted the V600 too, but since the E398 has everything (except quadband) the V600 has and more, i opted to buy the E398. the ring lights of the E398 include the keypad lights and the speaker? lights on both sides of the phone. it also has a rhythm lights feature that allows the keypad, speaker, and screen lights to dance to external sounds. really cool feature.
the C650 ring lights include the keypad lights and a round light around the joystick. no rhythm lights feature on the C650.

That sounds soo cool..
You are so lucky, not to mention e398 is cheaper, i wish I opted for it.
