Wuddup,

For those of you interested in customizing your cellphone to the fullest, Downloadatone.com is officially the best site (In my opinion). Features Unlimited Downloads of the Latest Ringtones Forever. Not only that, site is WAP enabled. Downloads are done from your phone, directly to your phone. They got latest ringers cuz they actially make alot of em. Seems lil too good to be true... Judge for yourself.

This looks like a copy of that site you posted the other day. Plus it costs $10.

Best way to get polyphonic ringtones is to search for midi sites - or sample your own, from mp3s :p

None of this paying crap

That sounds a bit dodge to me. A program that can convert fully mixed mp3/wave files to polyphonic ringtones? As I understand it polyphonic ringtones work just as MIDI files work. Hence you would have to have each instrument from a song on separate individual tracks which then the program can calculate the frequencies, timing and duration of each instrument from which then it can be translated into a MIDI file. But a fully mixed song on top of vocals converted to polyphonic ringtone? I can't see it resulting to any reasonable quality. But I'll keep an open mind, if the program exists then the programmers must beleive it works.

If you want free polyphonic ringtones you can't find, do a search for a MIDI version of it. There are heaps of free quality MIDI files on the web. Just make sure they don't exceed your phones maximum polyphony or you might get instruments cutting out suddenly.

A really good one is www.polyphonicringtonez.com (http://www.polyphonicringtonez.com). :) However you can only download via WAP.:(

If anyone knows of sites where you can get free MIDI files in their direct download form then I would appreciate that info, WAP is all very well but when you pay for GPRS, cost adds up and also MIDI files are much more versatile then you can IR/Bluetooth/USB them to your phone.

Thanks to anyone who does know of any.

DEViANT,

Gapsring (http://www.gapsring.co.uk) is tops on my list. Just head to the ringtones page and save the midi files you want through their links. Simple, no-fuss interface.
