Hi guys, I know this is a ridiculous question to ask  , but having gained confidence in seeing people modifying (or rather, forcing :p ) normal MMC cards into their Nokia 7610s, would it be, can it possibly, that it is achievable to modify the circuitry of the phone to make it produce dual stereo pop-port output instead of the normal mono output? :D
Any engineers out there willing to give their views on this?

Ha! Thanks Shaheen! But I wonder if it really works.. I mean is there a documented proof? :p U know what I mean? ;)
I don't think updating of firmware is possible.. even if it is able to! I don't expect Nokia to undercut themselves by producing an all-in-one powerful phone for the market and see other phone sales drop like crazy. Esp their own other models!
Somehow I wished some technicians or engineers is good with handphones and is willing to mod Nokia 7610. It will be a Hall of Fame phone then! :D

However if nokia did make an al in one super phone, wont it attract everyone, then everyone would buy that? Considering that everyone buys it, price would go low, that everyone can afford it. EG water, its cheap everyone needs it, everyone uses it, and its cheap, generally the same with things that is in great demand, price reduces and the company doesnt suffer. If theres one supplier that persons rich!!

It does sound very suspicious like others have quoted on Howardforums, and anyway, how comes no-one mentioned it when the 6600 was available? I wouldn't recommend it, surely a better bet is to just wait for the directly hardware compatible 6260 with hardware MP3 and radio - I also had a play with a 7610 and wasn't that impressed, it does look a lot like a glorified 6600, which also didn't impress (it was like a 7650 with an MMC slot). Call me a cynic, but I'm holding high hopes for the 6260 at the moment.

It wont actually attract everyone to buy it cause if its a all in one super phone the price will be higher.

thats kinda true. look at 3G phones in aus. its fairly high end but yet its so common and fairly cheap.

Yo! I see some of you think that having an all great phone will make it be costly. However, if it was costly, I don't think it will stop people from buying since it has all the various functions in one: 1.3 Mega Pixel, Mp3 Player with Radio, Symbian OS 60 or higher, slim and practical design, bluetooth, IR, adapter for normal earphones jack, MMC, etc. :)
No matter how much it will cost, people will still buy because it's attractive. Plus, human beings tend to go for the best so I don't think the phone company is more concerned about cost. Practically, they are so concerned about making too good a phone that the sales will hurt the rest of the other models that they are selling.
Nokia 6260... I was attracted to that phone until I realised that the d-pad is designed awkwardly.. It is not with the num pad so it makes you wonder how you going to scroll and type a sms properly. Think about it...
S700 is also too thick. I think I'm going to stick to my Nokia 7610, unless the 6630 looks attractive enough to me. I'm gonna wait for a better designed clam shell phone from Nokia. ;)

i find it hard to understand how the 6630 can be seen attractive to anyone. When called charlie everyone hated it!....omg athens gym...everyones falling off stuff! scary!! cool though...whey cool stuff they do :P

each to their own and i'm sure it will sell bucket loads. i think the t610 is an ugly phone but the 100's of 1000's of people who bought it obviously dont ! everyone has their own taste at the end of the day and i happen to think its a really nice looking phone, its unusual and different which is one of the reasons why i like nokia. i like having a phone that doesnt look like everyone elses. when i had my 7600 almost every person i walked past in the streets while using it would just turn their heads thinking "what the fook is that on the side of his head!". its nice not to follow the crowd... the main reason i hate clamshell phones as they are all so generic and similar in looks

yeah i spose, but for me, theres the individual look, ie 7610, 7600>>>>to the ugly, whyd u buy that phone look, ie 7700 and 6630. I spose it does kinda look a little funky, but the usual phones i find look nice everyone finds nice and sells well. t610 looked nice to me, the blue and red versions looked cool.
