A UAProf (User Agent Profile) for an unannounced Series 60 phone has appeared on Nokia's website. A UAProf is a machine readable description of a mobile phones capability/specifications. The UAProf for the 6670 shows that this is a Series 60 2.1 Symbian 7.0s handset (the same as the 7610) with a 16 bit 176x208 screen. There isn't any information about how the phone looks, but this is likely to be the anticipated business version of the 7610 / upgrade of the 6600.

Well it looks like it has BT. And look at this:

<prf:CPU>ARM</prf:CPU>
It has an ARM CPU? Now that would be nice.

What about the camera?
The only info I saw was:
<mms:MmsMaxImageResolution>640x480</mms:MmsMaxImageResolution>
VGA.

Aww, doesn't look much of an upgrade in 7610.

Hopefully not! This could just be saying the maximum size of the picture in an MMS?

Actually, you're right.

<rdf:Description rdf:ID="MmsCharacteristics">
<rdf:type rdf:resource="http://www.wapforum.org/profiles/MMS/ccppschema-20010111#MmsCharacteristics"/>
<mms:MmsMaxMessageSize>107250</mms:MmsMaxMessageSize>
<mms:MmsMaxImageResolution>640x480</mms:MmsMaxImageResolution>

As you can see, it's under the "MMC Characteristics" part of the page. So I would also assume that that's the max res of a pic in an MMS message. But dat don't mean dat the cam is VGA...

yea, I think I'm right. I just took a look at the 7610's blah blah, and it said the same thing:

<rdf:Description rdf:ID="MmsCharacteristics">
<rdf:type rdf:resource="http://www.wapforum.org/profiles/MMS/ccppschema-20010111#MmsCharacteristics"/>
<mms:MmsMaxMessageSize>107250</mms:MmsMaxMessageSize>
<mms:MmsMaxImageResolution>640x480</mms:MmsMaxImageResolution>

<prf:Model>7610</prf:Model>
<prf:Model>6670</prf:Model>

If you look at Nokia's strategy the past months it could likely be a clamshell version of the 7610.

mmm... makes me wonder though, if this is supposedly an "upgrade" to the 7610 and 6600, why would they make it symbian 7 still? The 9500 and the 6630 has symbian 8, right?

cheers!

Because this thing was made when the 7610 was being developed! If you compare the times between the 6630, the 7610, and this 6760, you would see that the 6630 is actually newer, and would thus have symbian 8, but both the 7610's and 6760's blah was made at exactly the same time, April 4th I believe it was.

You could see this at the top of the blah blah.

heh...I just can't remember the name of that document :p/.

Oh...then how come it takes so long for it to be announced? Problems? Or are they just waiting for the right moment...

Maybe this may never come out...it was just a test model or a model that lead into the development of another model...

Ah I dunno...I'm confused too :p.
