7610...help!!!!

Hey!

Ive just got a 7610 and after hours finally got everything installed but now it wont recognize my 7610, but it will recognize my 7600! Anyone know why this is?

so im guessing you got 2 7610s and 1 7600. and wat exactly did u get installed?

Yeh, i installed the software from the 7610 disk (pc suite 6 and dku-2 cable). I have 1 7610, but like i say it wont recognize the 7610, but if i plug my 7600 in in says data enhancement connected, so anyone know why it wont connect to my 7610?

Yeah, u mightave installed drivers, and suite but there are other things u need.
Leave ur phone connected to the cable with cd inside pc. It will say, usb device found, or hardware found, install? Install everyfile it asks u to install. Then restart the pc. It should work then. If uv done that and it dont work then im not sure.

My pc frequently says usb device not supported AFTER i have transfered some files and taken the cable off. It will (for me) dissappear from recognised phones and i have to restart my pc. Its not too bad, considerin that at one stage, i couldnt even transfer anything.

Yeh, i tried that but it said it couldnt be installed even thought the cd was in when i did it!

Its totally wierd! The computer makes a nokia when somthing is connected (on xp) but it makes a different noise when i connect my 7610, not the normal device connected noise..........Its strange

I think it might be a problem with the port at the bottom of the phone not recognizing the cable, but it does the headset?

Think i will get it down 2 my local nokia service centre! Will there be a charge for them 2 check it over?

nah no charge if this cable is the one from the box.

I think the pc suite from the cd is 6.1? Download 6.2 from nokia website.

In the 7610 Cd there is a trouble shooting section. U might wanna check that out. They kinda have a strict installation too. U dont just stick everything in, u gotta follow is as stated.
