Wait for the Mpx 220.

I personally dont like the Sidekick2, i think its really ugly!

The mpx 220 has all the features you want + 1.3MP cam.

It should be out soon so i recommend you wait a bit for it.

no comparison. sidekick 2 is just a mobile phone thats really handy for internet and its got a normal camera on it. mpx has its own class. its just too much to list down.

non comparable. It's like comparing good old english tea with Budweiser

Here is your delema:

Pay $299 for the sidekick which will do the following:

-Surf the internet (no js or flash support) over GPRS
-Nice usable keyboard
-Multiple repeating alerts
-Use AIM and Yahoo, SMS and POP IMAP emial
-Terminal Client (SSH, Telnet)
-Take OK photos (vga)
-Download apps only via the catlog (some cost, some dont)
-SYNC with outlook

Pay $800+ for the MPx

-MS mobile 2003 SE with a better digital camera
-Use BT
-Has WiFi (use on your home/work network (surf while in the bathroom) or pay Tmobile another $20 for use at over 4000 diff WiFi spots.
-Confusing KB, cramped and gimicky design (even more so than the sidekick)
-Dual hinge design (cant wait till it breaks!)
-Awesome screen with landscape and portrate orientation.
-Stylus and touch screen
-Did I mention $800+?

If you want a simple all in one that will do what oyu need most of the time and is inexpensive, then, wait for the CSKII

If you have the cash, want a first run product, do plenty of productivity stuff and want access to a growing database of downloadable programs... then wait for the MPx

Which still amy be delayed until Q1 2004 in the US.

OR...... wait yet still and see what the palmOne Treo "ace" will offer.

Wifi is nice.... but an expensive option. I would buy this instead of a laptop.. not as flexable - but Im not looking to use photoshop or dreamweaver on the MPx either.

Seems to me, you want a keyboarded phone? There are several options if thats the case (but not many)

MPx
Sidekick II
Treo 600 or "Ace"
Motorola A630
Siemens SK65

The only one available now is the Treo600. Youll have to wait (most likely for the MPx until Q1 of 05 as stated, but that could change. CSKII will most likely be comeing before Xmas in the Fall.

Who knows about the moto and siemens.

Other factors? Can you wait? What are you looking for the most?
Whats your budget?
