Hello guys,
I'm about to buy my very first mobile phone. I'm a little low on cash. So I need to know which model is suitable for me.
My only needs are to be able to call, SMS, and receive calls and SMS.
But I also don't want to buy a bad phone just because I'm a little low on cash.
So what I need to know is, which Nokia model would be both suitable for me and easy on my pocket?
Please, help.
Why does it have to be Nokia?

try the nokia 3100.
it's cheap, stable, has great RF, nice voice quality, has a speakerphone, very user friendly and is small and light.
cheers!

Consider 2100 too, cheap and good for sms and calls.
nokia cheaper then SE? when did that happen. sure nokia droped its price, but so did the other brands. so nothing is changed other brands are still cheaper.
and our person here wants a good phone.
thats why sid asked if it should be nokia. cause reviews told us more then once that nokia isn't that good.
EDIT: i suggest a T230

Nokia isn't that good? bit of a extreme BUT, i would second Bart on getting a T230 which is cheap and doesn't look cheap. 3's from Nokia look exceptionaly unpresentable. Too cheap looking. Or u could always get an award winning T610 (second hand or whatever, it's price had drop almost 60& since launch)
P.S. calls and sms only? only expert users will expect that from a phone. few novice users of handphones do that, they just thought they're novice and didn't need that much; but one u start using it and finds out ur phone lacks connectivity or lacks some functionality which at the meantime u haven't knew u need it. cheers! good luck and hope u get urself a good purchase. oh ya how bout Z200? very good as well if u dun mind the screen.

Wow! Thank you everyone for your kind suggestions. :)
To Sid: Yeah, you're right. It doesn't have to be a Nokia. Now that I know that a Nokia is still out of my reach, I'm thinking otherwise.
To difenbaker: Thanks for your suggestion. Nokia 3100 is really that good, but my pocket isn't.
To difenbaker: Unfortunately, no, Nokias are not cheaper than Sony Ericssons and Siemens.
To zalameh1: Thanks for your suggestion. Nokia 1100 won my heart, but my pocket broke my heart.
To Wyatt: Thanks for your suggestion. Nokia 2100 is pretty cheap. One of my friends recently purchased it. And just within a week, it's price dropped by 6%, but still my pocket doesn't agree with my choice.
To bart: Thanks for your suggestion. I'll see if T230 is good for me. I'll let you know in a few days.
To commedecargons: Thanks for your suggestion. I'll see if T610 and/or Z200 is good for me. I'll let you know in a few days.
Once again, thank you everyone for your kind suggestions. :)
