Do you people not go to real shops in the real world? ;)

I'd recommend The Link over the other main two highstreet retails in the UK (Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U). Not being biased or anything (I work for them :D ) but I've carried out independant surveys on another website, and everyone seems to agree that The Link offer the best prices and best customer service over the snobs/idiots and The Carphone Warehouse and the scarily under-trained staff at Phones 4U, who I would'nt buy a piece of paper from let alone a phone.

I'm sure if you read about on the 'net, you'll find all kinds of horror stories from ex-Phones 4U customers, and I'm not trying to spread propoganda or any kind of advertising, I'm posting a warning to anyone who'd even consider Phones 4U for their next purchase.

If you want some examples of what I've heard about them from actual customers who have come into my store that we've had to deal with, then let me know.

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to post this, but it is one of the first forums to come up when I Googled myworldphone.com and forums.

I recently purchased a Motorola a780 from MyWorldPhone.com. Soon after receiving the product, I realized it was missing a key feature I wanted (EDGE support) even though it was described with this feature in the product description. I called them nearly a dozen times to rectify this problem (I even recommended they change the description on their website). The result: A partial refund. Even though it was their fault they misrepresented the product, I lost nearly $100 from this transaction.

I’ve asked to speak directly with the owner or supervising manager only to be hung up on twice. I’ve tried to get contact information for a manager or owner, and they would not give it to me. I’ve been blatantly lied to (twice they said I would get the balance of the refund by a certain date). This has been going on since October 21st with no resolve in sight.

I’ve pretty much given up on getting the rest of my money. This was the worst online transaction I have ever experienced.

If you are considering purchasing a phone from MyWorldPhone.com, my advice would be to look elsewhere.

That is surprising, considering Michael (the site owner) gets a lot of his test phones from them. In any case, yes that is another one, although I personally don't like them because they usually have the highest prices out of anyone. But it is cool how they have the awesome phones from South Korea for use on Verizon and Alltel and such.

With all the internet fraud that is going on today, I am very weary about buying anything on the internet, so I can hardly blame others. I want people to feel secure in doing business with me through my online store; therefore, I am eagerly searching ways to promote trust in my website. How can I achieve this? I have been doing real good on eBay and have a 100% Feedback Rating and nearing Powerseller Status, but my online shop sales are nonexistent. I would not use cellular-blowout.com. They do not keep their inventory accurate on their website. I ordered a cell phone from them and did not hear a word from them for over a week and a half regarding its shipment. Finally, after several attempts (email and telephone) to request the tracking number for my order, they emailed me and told me the phone was on backorder delay. They have ignored my request for a refund.
