Desperate For Help

I have to choose a phone soon. I'm leaving for overseas soon. I'm planning on visiting India. I have AT&T and I need to choose a phone. They offer the SE T616, Nokias, etc. I need a phone that will work there and work here, and is a great phone in general. An added plus is if i could pickup a prepaid SIM card there and pop it into my phone. I really appreciate your help on this one

Well, you really want a triband 900/1800/1900 phone then, not the T616's 850/1900Mhz.

Anything you get from AT&T will be locked, though some can be easily unlocked (the Nokia Series 60 phones, for example: 7210, 6100, etc). You will need an unlocked phone to use a local prepaid card in India.

I'd take a look at a 7250 or something.
